imperatrixx -> Question to "moderate" conservative Christians and their fellow travellers (7/23/2011 3:10:40 AM)

As we count the bodies in Norway, where is the condemnation from the so called "moderate" conservatives? Did I miss that press conference?

I hope and PRAY we pick a real liberal to take back the White House November 2012, for both the economy and national security.

If it wasn't such a tragedy and so many people lost their lives, you could call it ironic how certain people were eager to attribute the blame, only to find out that the terrorist actually comes from their own corner. Though I wonder if they do feel the need to distance themselves and apologize - not that it would bring the lives back - but it would show that they actually believe what they demand of others.

imperatrixx -> RE: Question to "moderate" conservative Christians and their fellow travellers (7/23/2011 3:27:25 AM)

You make a good point. It was insensitive of me to just copy that other thread blaming Muslims...it is a terrible and horrific tragedy.

I do hope it does open some people's eyes though, that they as a conservative are nothing like this terrorist, just like the average Muslim American is nothing like the terrorists who attacked the US. One can hope.

LadyConstanze -> RE: Question to "moderate" conservative Christians and their fellow travellers (7/23/2011 3:35:29 AM)

I didn't think you were making fun of the tragedy, if it will open some people's eyes, it's still a steep price to pay but at least it would give some meaning to a tragedy that otherwise is just senseless brutality.

But I can't hear anything from the corner who blamed the Muslims... The silence seems to be deafening...

FirstQuaker -> RE: Question to "moderate" conservative Christians and their fellow travellers (7/23/2011 4:30:08 AM)

Actually it is rather ironic watching bunch of Anglo-Saxons from the UK talking complete rubbish with Europeans in North America over a white nationalist in Norway running amok.

And even more so watching the two groups use this event and the actors and victims in the matter their proxies for their own warped thinking. The only non humorous part of it was that part about 90 dead, many children, because some loser decided his little corner of the world was falling apart.

The whole lot of you doing this ought to be ashamed of yourselves, and now further ashamed you did not realize you should have been ashamed to post your fake quasi-moralizing in the first place in either thread.

No normal person hears about some great tragedy and then imminently thinks how he or she can score points off the thing for his or her self aggrandizement, especially before the bodies are in the ground or the facts of the matter have even be figured out by those charged with investigating it.

If you want to see how ridiculous some of the comments look, inspect this comment -

This just goes to show what a bunch of congenital psychopaths and cowardly murdering savages all Europeans are. The inventors of everything from concentrations camps to atomic weapons revert to type yet again. When they can't kill, rob or enslave anyone else outside Europe, they turn on their own. One of them gets his little feelings hurt, the first thing the cowardly European thinks of is to go kill a bunch of unarmed children, and looking at their sordid and bloody history, this is the norm for them and their kind.  So when are you moderate European savages going to denounce this European conduct of yours? Or do all of you live for murder?

If you though the above looked ridiculous, it is the barely equal to much of what I see posted on the topic.

and you might be surprised at how many people of European descent are quick to denounce the brutality and near genocide that Europeans have inflicted on native populations around the world.

rawtape -> RE: Question to "moderate" conservative Christians and their fellow travellers (7/23/2011 5:11:41 AM)

This isn't a particularly new phenomenon. Note that the Oklahoma City bombing was immediately followed by the so-called "terrorism expert" Steven Emerson's claim on CBS News that Muslims too were responsible for that attack. And of course, the anti-Muslim rhetoric spouted on Talk radio.

I suspect that, lying masked under the notion that they are/were right to invade Iraq or Afghanistan, this tendency of some people to prematurely hold Muslims responsible for terrorist attacks, reflects a fear of blowback. At some level, they know that invasion of another nation's sovereignty that resulted in the death of civilians there was wrong, and are afraid of the potential consequences thereof.

Do you realize how ridiculous you look just assuming? Who's Anglo-Saxon? You do realize that living in the UK doesn't mean you were born there or that you even have a UK passport, you ever heard about this brilliant concept that is the EU and that lets people move around countries in said European Union?

Maybe by being a pompous ass you missed completely that we both mentioned what a tragedy it is? Maybe not in such a pompous way, but ducky, quack on, I bet you feel great about yourself. Some of us might have family ties and friends in Norway, so shut that pie hole.

As for ranting on about "cowardly Europeans", it was ONE disturbed individual, so point the finger and ignore what happens at home on a regular basis, but I can guess your answer, it will be "quack quack quack" - maybe you should read what you post, but I guess then you'd feel a bit ashamed - oh well, maybe not, sanctimonious cocks hardly ever do!

I see the parody is well above your head. But I see it's shoes fit you well, so proudly wear them.

Greetings

84 children, perhaps more and 7 other people have lost their lives, is a thread about that really the place to throw shit at one another? Particulary so soon after the tragedy? It do not matter what one of you thinks about another's jokes or sarcasm, is that really something to argue about?

Yes many suspected Muslims extremists and it is a shame that suspicion always go to them, however every sane person no matter what religion or faith or outlook on life condemns such violence.

I wish you all well.

Apparently it is. A sad legacy, if that is the case.

It was possibly the reaction that some people were so quick to blame Muslims and used the tragedy for their agenda, I've actually seen more sympathy for the victims in this thread than from the people who claimed it was a Muslim attack.

For the victims the political agenda of the person(s) using the violence against them possibly will make little difference. What I found very shocking was when it started off with the Muslim suspicion, there was not a thought for the victims and only finger pointing at Muslims, no "What can be done?" no "I hope it won't cost more lives" but a pitchfork mentality, ready to attack people they suspected and ready to do damage to them, and almost disappointment when it wasn't who they wanted it to be.

Damn as a moderate Christian I sure hope this doesn’t make it harder for me to…Sieg Heil!…sorry…to stockpile my supply of fertilizer. Lucky for me I’ve already got my m16 and plenty of …Sieg Heil!…damn keeps slipping out…ammunition. Now time for me to pray to the good lord so I can find some defenseless liberal offspring…Sieg Heil!

I don't think we shall see a certain poster stop by and eat his much deserved serving of crow.By the way Imperattics I completely got and understood your decision here...holding up a mirror to the idiots is all good....it never entered my mind that you were being callous about the loss of life in Norway.....that has already been done, and done to a fare thee well by the one who pointed a finger at the evilllll mooslims.
perhaps those giving you grief about this do not understand the context in which this arose [8|]

Moonhead -> RE: Question to "moderate" conservative Christians and their fellow travellers (7/23/2011 7:52:25 AM)

Actually, I'm a bit surprised he has the brass neck to post in the other couple of threads about this after that showing...
