Hannah, you afraid of spiders or bugs of any kind? No weird phobia? If and only if you are absolutely perfect and can prove it do you have the right to deride mine. He prefers to keep things in the toy bag where he knows where they are, I prefer to keep stuff in the kitchen where I know where they are. And wooden spoons are dead cheap so who does it harm if he gets more spoons this way?

Except me obviously, when he decides to use them all in order of size.

Lady Pact, you put wood in the dishwasher? I lost a great wooden bowl by leaving it overnight with water. I don't put wooden handled knives in the dishwasher either. It destroys the wood.

It's very much like you say.  If I destroy the wood for a wooden spoon, I just replace them.  I've got so many of them now that it's more than I need.

Most of My knives are either plastic or metal handles.  I use those for wax play, hot/cold sensation, and outright knife play.  In most cases, I want things that will go through the dishwasher, specifically because the heat is going to kill anything that could be passed from one person to another.

I can't stand using household stuff, hell I can't stand using most ugly store bought toys. I like my toys like my women, unique and elegant.

What household utensils have you found useful with your lifestyle?

Spatula... as my "lifestyle" includes eating pancakes -- so I've found it quite "useful".

There are more pervertable items about than any thread could possibly contain, show some imagination!
Personally I think those bamboo BBQ skewers are the best thing since sliced bread.

its not like they have hyper-vc-cooties or something. it's just a bit of cunt juice, it goes away with some soap and hot water.

Genuine coffee on the screen LOL at that! Thanks for brightening up my morning!

This sounds as though your play knives are not also your cooking knives. That you keep things separate.

We're monogamous and fluid bonded. So he doesn't have to worry about passing stuff from someone else to me or vice versa.

But I doubt you need a Chinese cleaver for play purposes whereas they come in handy in the kitchen.

How do you play without a Chinese cleaver?? Honestly without mine I probably wouldn't even bother.

Knives I basically look at as the same category.  More than enough.  There are certain knives that I actually prefer for using with wax, so they pretty much stay with the wax kit.  I would actually go grab one out of the kitchen if those went misplaced for some reason.

We're poly-fidelity, but being a casual top, knives are something that will get used on multiple people.  Even something like sweat, I want completely eradicated.  Not all of the knives that I use for knife play are dull and while I tend to prefer scalpels if I know I'm going to be doing a cutting, I'm not going to say that nobody has ever gotten a small nick from play with a sharp knife.

Des, i'm guessing you speak of wood/bamboo, which absorb body fluids.
It makes perfect sense to leave those as play toys since dishwashers can cause wood to crack or bamboo's glue to separate from the fibers.

With me, if a wood spoon gets used over clothing only, it's about the same as a drop. Wash it and carry on, but if it is introduced to the body, it is retired from the kitchen. (I don't lick spoons when cooking, either).

Impermeable surfaces? Wash and carry on.

I remember when I was first starting out, all lovely and innocent, having a discussion with my then girlfriend as to whose toothbrush was going up her arse. I said 'Well its not going to be mine!'
