Committing crimes against the U.S. Constitution is Obama's favorite fetish.

Don't be shy Jimbo, I know you must have indisputable evidence of all these crimes.

I'm waiting breathlessly.

To start with this happened in the residence where the Hatch act does not apply. Second a donation was not required to get a raffle ticket. Therefore no crime occured. Priebus is wasting his time.

Ken, I thought that the problem was that it is not clear whether the Map Room is for public or private use.

The Map Room is public since stuff like the raffle occurs there and it is part of the tours but it is in the residence and the President is allowed to make fund raising calls and the like from the residence.

See, there is the problem. If it is private he can do the fund-raising raffle thing and make a video. If it is public he can't.

The easiest way to solve this is to track down the White House Protocol Officer (there MUST be one.) Ask him. If the answer is that it is public, then no more videos and fund-raising stuff. If the answer is that it is private, then full speed ahead.

Problem solved.

Heh... [:D]

As if you havent seen the "war crimes" thread.

Yeah...

ANYTHING Obama does HAS to be legit

Amongst his adoring worshipers, its hang Obamas accusers first, and ask no questions later

BUT

If BUSH was involved...

By default its the crime of the century, especially if it involved liberating millions and millions of people from one of the most brutal dictators the world has ever known

You fucking hypocrites know no bounds

Let's talk about that hypocrisy Sanity.

You praise Bush for the war in Iraq but condemn Obama for intervention in Libya.

Did I miss something in the translation?

Is he less of a brutal dictator than Saddam?

We actually know for a fact that Qaddafi was behind terror ist attacks against Americans and attempted to cause terror attacks inside the US. Can anyone produce evidence of the same for Saddam?

juliaoceania -> RE: Obama accused of committing a crime Oh NO! (7/19/2011 12:17:09 PM)

Well, Saddam was going to put forward an attempt on Bush the First years ago...

It seems that Saddam asked the Bush Admin what their opinion was about the dispute that Iraq had over oil rights with their Neighbors in Kuwait, and Bush Admin Diplomat to Iraq told Saddam that the United States had no position on that border dispute... Saddam (who was our boy fighting a proxy war with Iran, etc) took this as an invitation to invade Kuwait, and he set himself up for the first gulf war, which was about neutering him. Iraq had the 4th largest military in the world at that point, and they were a threat... so the answer was to have a pretext to invade Iraq...

Sad sad thing for the Iraqi people, who fought Iran for us, and who under Saddam enjoyed one of the most secular societies in the region.. even though Saddam was a ruthless bastard who murdered many other tribal factions in that country.... But Turkey has done the same and no one speaks out against them

I guess the difference is the Iraqi people never wanted us there, some even say their lives are worse since the US invasion. OTOH, the Libyan rebels wanted help. Of course republicans would be against the group who wants the help to overthrow their brutal dictator.

FirstQuaker -> RE: Obama accused of committing a crime Oh NO! (7/19/2011 10:58:07 PM)

The Arab revolt against Anglo-Saxons in the area goes back to the Palestine Mandate.

And as you noted, before that there were the Ottoman Turks, and nobody faults them for being wimps in ruling the area, or in putting down dissent or revolts, the Turks woull not hesitate to put whole regions to the sword in certain cases of revolt..

Under the British, Iraq had widespread dissent and revolts and even after they left as late as WW2 the British had to return and put down coups against the puppets they installed. The last thing the regional monarchs want is a republic of any sort, Islamic or otherwise.

They can't do a lot about the Turks, the whole crew fears them, and the last thing any one wants  in the region  is the Turk to come out of retirement for a road show.

.But Iraq and Iran are the biggest thorns in their sides.

As for the Bush family, they have a special respect in the Muslim world for the Koran prophesies that the descendants of Mohammed will rule all the great nations of the world, and thus the Bush clan, are regarded as holy men, much as Christians wouldltreat the direct descendants of Jesus, if some could be found, especially if they were the leaders of nations like the US or in the rest of the Anglosphere. That the sectarian Iraqis woudl be at war with such people was painted as a sign of their apostasy and heresy  by the feudal Islamic rulers.

How they deal with Obama, who is also a descendant of Mohammed though the white side of his family is another challenge for them, but again this is part of their Islamic mythos.
