Y'all know that I am on the trailing edge of all things technological, so what's up with the Google + thing? Is anyone on it, and what do you think? I got an array of comments on the Facebook, and I am interested in what the local geekage thinks.

Google + is only in beta stage you have to be invited

however as prev said Facebook owner is most pop on Google +

plus it does things facebook doesn't

Google Circles puts all your friends in say circles ie if you have a bdsm circle all your friends go there

google tried social before with buzz didn't work

however this time theres more impetus and whether we like it or not social search is coming

so i do think Google plus is a winner

I gather that there is no way to make your profile private on Google +... this isn't pleasing. I have LinkedIn for professional stuff, and while I don't have anything to hide on my FB, I really don't want it out there for all & sundry.

I am considering removing my Facebook account, due to privacy issues. This would make me very sad because this is where I go to catch up with my grandchildren. I think that at the very least, I will remove my photos & all personal information.

google plus 1 is like the like button but in my mind is lot better

as people like the content rather than the brand or celeb

From what I gather they are working on it, the only thing I'm a bit concerned with is Google, it basically will give them even more info about yourself, I heard people say that you don't even have to give your real name, well, your name is the least of your concerns as they'll possibly have whatever they need through your IP and tracing you anyway...

an FB friend posted an article today about Google+ -- even more privacy issues there than at FB (as hard as that may be to believe) so... until they deal with that, i'm not too fussed. one friend was giving out invites and i just don't need one. =p my FB may be going by the wayside as it is.
