You all have touched me in ways that are beyond words...... This year was by far the best birthday ever!! I had dinner with a man who wanted nothing from me...other than for me to have a good time on my birthday!! He bought my dinner!! He took me to a horrible movie afterward. I don't know when the last time I laughed so much was........ 

I had an amazing time. I feel like this is the beginning of a new and wonderful year for me!!  And I owe it all to you. I truly couldn't have made it here without the love, support, guidance and encouragement of all of you!!

Reading this really made me smile. You're wrong though - at least partially wrong - you don't owe it all to us, you are an absolutely incredible woman and it's high time you saw it!

I can not tell you how completely and overwhelmingly full my heart is at the moment!!  It amazes me because yesterday I woke up and I made the decision that it was just going to be another day and I was not going to feel sorry for myself. And I was just going to be grateful to have made it through everything I have alive and sane (for the most part anyway!!). And I was  going to make sure I did not mention my birthday anywhere near here until after today.  I also decided that it did not matter if not one person remembered my birthday I was going to have a good day!!

I was not up more than a few moments when one of my staff members texted me happy birthday...before I left for work my mom actually called and told me happy birthday. Now, I know she only did this because  my 10 year old nephew reminded her it was my birthday a few days ago.. But fuck me dead!! She didn't argue with me this year what day my birthday was!!

And then last night when I knew I was reaching the emotional edge I decided to reach out to a new "friend"  and talk about how sad I was and look how it turned out!!! I know what you are all saying but here's what you are missing!!! Years ago when I first came here.... (and some of you may remember more what I was like then) I would not have been capable of reaching out and just being honest about how I was feeling and letting it go.....

You all have allowed me to become the person I am today.. .and you have accepted me in that process!!

You all mean more to me than I can say.
