Hey Owner ... I just got back from delivering on of these bad little girls to Barnstable Harbor from Gloucester. Every year or two the obstetrician who delivered my son and daughter Moves the boat (a fuckin COOL 75' custom built Herreshoff )sailboat he lives on, down to the cape. Late this year cause he kept it in Charlestown so that his in-laws, who had never visited Boston, could attend the fireworks on the Charles as a treat. And he has a Grady White 282 Sailfish he uses as a launch and for fishing. He called this morning saying "Skip, you wouldn't mind rendezvousing with us in Barnstable in the next week or so, would ya?" I told him have it in at the floating dock and and the carbon blown out and I'll beat ya there. So at 3ish My son daughter and I Buzzed down and did the 65 or so mile run in about 4 hours with a stop on the way out of the harbor to left my son and daughter surf briefly on the 8' surf board hanging onto a tow rope then it was a steady 25 knots for 60 miles with a short stop to cool the engine (he wussed and got an evinrude 200 4stroke instead of 125hp twins as recommended by the mfg... WTF do obstetricians know anyway?)... and enjoy a sunset picnic at the halfway point between capes codd and ann you can't see land there because it's 30 miles away in 3 directions. http://www.poweryachtsinternational.com/Vehicle/10105/2001-Grady-White-28-Foot-282-Sailfish.aspx It was a TOTAL blast and we rented a convertible PT Cruiser for the ride back (it's my daughter's fetish)....
