Well, I don't know if this has been posted before, because the video is over a year old, but I thought this was pretty funny, and showed a real human side to our President:

Obama Writing a School Excuse.

"...Kennedy, thats a cool name."

That made me laugh. Any doubt that it was a serious clue about that families political orientation?

I wonder if she turned it in to the school or has it framed and hanging in her room.  I don't think the teacher ever saw it.

Strange how this has been up for so long and no one has talked about it.  It does show a human side, something we hardly ever see in any of our elected officals

DarkSteven -> RE: Obama Showing Some Class (7/2/2011 7:41:53 AM)

Dunno that I'd call it class as much as a sense of humor.  I really like Obama's style, and I'm not sure why the Bush group didn't go out of their way to humanize W like Obama's group does.

Well, it was a bit of a joke .... "Class" "School Excuse", yanno.  [:)]

That was one of my gripes with Bush, although just about anything he said or did would be (and was) twisted in some kind of political "gotcha".

Because they didnt have to go out of their way. His speeches were genuine and in the most important ones he wore his heart on his sleeve. There was not need for phony scripted moments.

That's funny will, because i found Bush 2 to be rather ignorant about a lot of things. Yes, i'm a bleeding heart liberal, but i did like GHW Bush and his style.

Headed out to surf the rocks, but I just wanted to agree with you and add that it was straight from the HEARTS actually, of two other men:
David Frum
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Frum

and Michael Gerson
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Gerson

Yet despite that... it always SEEMED like he might have Andy Dick writing his speeches....

Anyway, surf's up ... catch ya later on

Obviously, the clip that Firm posted was unscripted, unless you're claiming the man asking Obama a question was a plant.

Obama's team did capture this moment, as well as the one where two kids phoned their mom from within the presidential limo.  Entirely genuine, but his team noted them and posted them.

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Obama Showing Some Class (7/2/2011 9:50:08 AM)

Didnt watch it. A "human interest" clip, much less one over a year old, has no interest. The conversation it stimulates may be..though it isnt yet, except of course for SS amazing find of ...gasp...speechwriters!

This one is cute.

I do not like Obama's foreign policy, but the man has more than class, he oozes pizzazz

Sorry I'm late responding ... after reading the quasi-wisdom of  a 'natural dominant' who's like 10 or something in thread, I got a nice 'favor' from the SUBstitute teacher who moved in down the street a few months ago. Pitty we had to rush stuff , but the kids were coming home from tubing....
But regarding the following...

There was not need for phony scripted moments.

I was merely pointing out the guy had less 'real' moments than any president in recent memory and he pretty much WAS scripted as much or more than any other president I can remember, And when he did ad lib, it was a complete fucking trainwreck

No 'discoveries', just a reminder to pick your stall for horseshit[:D]
