Been hitting the tequilla a little early there Yum Bum?

Vicodin. Just had surgery - see "I Admit".

Someone up there said, "he HELPS me with housework"... my ex husband used to say that... "do you want me to HELP you with the housework". We weren't in a D/s relationship. I told him more than once that if it was my job he would be helping me, but since we both live there it's BOTH of our jobs, so I'll help HIM with HIS housework. Man-brain never grasped the concept.

Oh, and this wasn't meant to be a man-bashing thread, I swear. It was more like, there's Daddydoms and SadistDoms and ProDommes... how about a HouseworkDom??

Cali

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: The Elusive HouseworkDom (7/2/2011 9:44:53 AM)

All the Housework Doms are kept in a secret research facility at Area 51 where they are subjected to rigorous experimentation and extensive anal probing.

That is what I have slaves for.  However I cook, clean and do laundry when my slave is out of commission.  It is simply part of normal life we all have to deal with.

I'm of the same opinion.

If you went into my home, you would find a very clean living space with no dishes in the sink, laundry in the basket, and no hair in my sink from shaving. This is because I enjoy living in a clean and organized home. The absence of one effects my mental health.

I don't enjoy doing it. I would rather invest my time in other activities. Thus, the responsibility of this shifts to my girl. However, if she were to fall ill, I would have no issue taking back that responsibility.

Also, I don't need my girl to have an organized and clean home. If the only reason my house was clean was due to the fact that I had a girl I can order to clean it, I would consider this to be a deficiency in myself as a dominant.

I also don't view the act of delegating the cleaning of my work to be an act of forced attrition. Even if the girl didn't enjoy housework, it still provides an oppurtunity for her to have a direct, positive impact on the quality of my life and for me to express just how special she is and honored I am to have her. From that perspective, these "chores" I assign are healthy to the dynamic.

You two are totally, completely, 100% missing the point, but thanks for your contribution.

Oh, I get the point and my contribution is my way of saying "No, I am not one of them".

As far as whether any actually exist, I think God is the only one suited for answering that question.

Might be one in Germany. I hear they are pretty weird over there.

If it helps, I used to be a chef and therefore, do enjoy cooking on the right occasion.

I think you're on the right track- god & housework dominants are both mythical creatures.

Right up there with Atheists who will pass up a chance to flaunt their beliefs in front of an audience, regardless of whether or not is called for

I tend to see such statements as a parallel to those who say they "babysit" when they are watching their own children.  Sorry, but that's not babysitting.  That's part of doing your own job as a parent.

I am of the belief that acts are not dominant or submissive in and of themselves; intent is the driver.

So, with that in mind, we hear of doms who cook for the family because they like to do so (and I'm not talking BBQ, aka, "fireplay"). So where is the elusive HouseworkDom? The guy who does the dishes and dusts and vacuums and all that because he enjoys doing it? Where is he? Has anyone found one? Does this species exist, or like Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, The Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, is he an elusive character found mostly in dreams, fairy tales, and grainy photos??

Oh, honey.. The Man Unit flushes AND puts down the lid.

I'm ever grateful and don't ask for more than can be delivered by a mere mortal such as Himself. [;)]

whiteslavebitch -> RE: The Elusive HouseworkDom (7/2/2011 4:51:35 PM)

MasterK doesn't enjoy housework for the sake of housework, but he enjoys a clean living situation. He cooks out of necessity, neither of us can do it all, with work, etc.

<<<==== A picture of a man who hangs with unicorns and single socks.  Actually I have a drawer full of S.S. waiting for mates to show....

Cooking, stand back me lovely ladies and lusty laddies.  Tonight's dish was cioppino - a fish soup/stew - tomato and about 6 or 8 fish / shellfish.  Lost count.  MUST include clams, and this did.  Onion and green pepper to start. Celery, basil, a fish blend (like "Old Bay" but better.)  Bay leaves......  Served with crusty bread.

Who will clean kitchen in trade for some?  Made like 5 quarts - of which there's probably 4 & 1/2 left. LOL!

Recent menu items: dolmades (grape leaves stuffed with rice, ground meat, sultanas, spices, cooked in beef broth and served with creamy lemon youghurt - NOT sweet.) smoked salmon with carmalized onions as a cold salad/sandwich filling, knish with cherry filling.  Killer chicken curry and broccoli over rice.  Very mild - a Southern / Madras region curry.

Earlier today, I needed an ironed shirt so I said "Self, time to set up vaccuum board."  HUH?  Now THAT's a domesticDom for you; lives in land of vaccuum boards and ironing machines.  Just WTF are those white boxes?  They take up so much room.... And why are there 2 of them?  One should be enuff, for whatever they are meant for.

MaamJay -> RE: The Elusive HouseworkDom (7/3/2011 12:02:57 AM)

Fun thread! But, they aren't entirely elusive. Master is becoming more and more a Housework Dom in the presence of my diminishing ability to perform such tasks without ending up in such agony that He then feels obliged to massage me for half an hour to render me once more moveable and capable of cooking His dinner. Of late, He is the One who has swept out our 5th wheeler van, taken the dustbuster brush to the carpet to pick up the half a cat that's stuck like glue to the fibres (way beyond the sucking power of our small vacuum cleaner), bent over double in the tiny toilet rooms to clean the toilets, and wriggled around on the bed trying to get the mattress topper back to the head end of the mattress, instead of it all congregating at the foot end! He's also sat and shivered in lonely caravan park laundries while i have been busy working on my thesis in my nice cosy office. In addition, He is the One who empties the toilet waste at every dump point, or worse still, has toted it in a wheeled tank and had to pour it out when we couldn't get the van near enough to the dump point to use the hose. He's the One who sets up the van, the water hoses, the grey water sullage and packs it all away again. He does ALL the driving too. He is also known to wash the dishes at times, and appear in my office with a sandwich and drink when i am really under the pump with my study. And when it is getting really late (after 9.30pm sometimes!), in desperation He offers to start tea ... which gets me out of my office, not because He's a bad cook (He's good) but because i am rather precious about anyone else cooking in my small van kitchen! He's also the One who did a 3 hour round trip to drive me to my conference in the city on Weds, looked after the furkids and Himself in my absence, slept really badly because i wasn't there to pull the bedclothes back when He stole them all (so He overheated LOL), and then did the 3 hour trip again in driving rain to collect me again yesterday. And He opens cans, bottles, packages etc that my hands can't manage well ... without Him i could easily dehydrate or starve or die from lack of medications since i can't get into the damn childproof bottles.

Omg, reading all that ... He deserves to be knighted ... i now dub Him Sir Adrian Master ... except He hates the title Sir LOL! i do know that i definitely could not be living this wonderful lifestyle without Him and i love Him to bits!

violet[A] aka Maam Jay
PS He has said though, that should MJ pull Her finger out and find a fantastic, fit live-in sub, that all bets ... and a lot of His workload ... are off!
