Saudi law is based on Sharia, but there are other elements in it too, as other countries that also have Sharia have different laws to Saudi Arabia.

Just saying that this is what Sharia law is.

Then I guess it's a good thing I live in a country that isn't likely to adopt that law.

A legal system that has been steadily updated since the founding of the kingdom of saudi arabia.
Sharia law, on the other hand, is derived directly from the Quran and the Sunnah, neither of which mentioned women drivers once.

^ they did not have cars when the Quran was written.

I don't that hunky's aware that there's a difference between shariah law and civil law (I think the evil mooslim theocrats call it customary law), and that no two muslim sects or states agree on what sharia law involves in the first place.

Yes. This is why your statement that women being banned from driving is part of what sharia law means is was WRONG.
You'll be saying that there wasn't a disclaimer in Orson Welles' radio version of The War Of The Worlds next.

I suppose you lay this mess at the feet of King Abdulla?

As the absolute ruler of Saudi Arabia, he's probably a better prospect than most. Unless you can find a mention of cars and why women shouldn't drive them in either of the two main sources sharia law is drawn from.

The Kingdom is NOT a secular state.

No Kingdom is: Kings rule through a divine right.
That doesn't alter the fact that Saudi Arabia has other parts of its legal system that have fuck all to do with sharia law.

The crown will not allow you any fringe on your false flags.

Actually many kingdoms have been secular in nature see Cathrine the Great.   However the Saudi King is also  "Defender of the faith, protector of the Holy places"  not at all secular

Moonhead -> RE: SAUDI POLICE BEGIN ARRESTING WOMEN DRIVERS IN NIGHTTIME RAIDS Saudi Arabian police arrested five (6/30/2011 11:41:14 AM)

One of her Majesty's titles is also "Defender of the faith". She tends not to come across like a theocrat in most other respects, though.

First, Sharia Law will NOT be coming to the United States, the Constitution would prevent it, if you would actually think for yourself you would have figured this out long ago.

Second, Sharia Law does not mention automobiles, considering when the code of law was written a thousand years ago

Third, the prohibition against women driving is based on modern interpretation of the code, which does not exist in other countries that use Sharia Law and Secular law combined.
