It is done to jam enemy radar.... that evesdrop- so it is a national security thing.

However it can also be done to modify the weather.. in both cases the chems they use are very toxic to humans. They do this in all parts of the country.

The HAARP Ionospheric Research facility will be a major Arctic facility for conducting upper atmospheric research. The facility will consist of two essential parts:

A high power transmitter and antenna array operating in the High Frequency (HF) range. When complete, the transmitter will be capable of producing up to 3.6 million Watts to an antenna system consisting of 180 crossed dipole antennas arranged as a rectangular, planar array.

A complete and extensive set of scientific instruments for observation of both the background auroral ionosphere and of the effects produced during active research using the transmitter system. Output from these instruments will be combined into an integrated data package which will be available world-wide in near real time over the internet.
During active ionospheric research, the signal generated by the transmitter system is delivered to the antenna array, transmitted in an upward direction, and is partially absorbed, at an altitude between 100 to 350 km (depending on operating frequency), in a small volume a few hundred meters thick and a few tens of kilometers in diameter over the site. The intensity of the HF signal in the ionosphere is less than 3 microwatts per cm2, tens of thousands of times less than the Sun's natural electromagnetic radiation reaching the earth and hundreds of times less than even the normal random variations in intensity of the Sun's natural ultraviolet (UV) energy which creates the ionosphere. The small effects that are produced, however, can be observed with the sensitive scientific instruments installed at the HAARP facility and these observations can provide new information about the dynamics of plasmas and new insight into the processes of solar-terrestrial interactions.

And I am saying the US is not the only country who has a HAARP program. It has to be near the north pole- so that is why Norway and Russia ... got one.

Ummmm okay... but considering HARRP outside of course it's real and very well documented purpose of being used to study the earth's aurora, is pretty much the domain of complete Art Bell bootlickers.
The assertion that HARRP has anything to do with the chemtrails is basically as much nonsense as the nitwits on that radio program... who probably sold Mit Romney as a viable presidential candidate later on in the day

No fucking idea, I hear everything from powdered metals to virus. Personally, I see this every day down on the harbor but i can also see logan airport from most places (20 some miles away) and more than half the lines head somewhat in that direction. So I am not convinced that there's anything resembling what puhunkyboy alludes to.
But I thought it was pretty funny that the radio guys in Albany most likely to air guys like Jay Severin and push Romney heavy would spend their morning show focus on that topic.
You saw the pictures though, right? Do you see similar patterns down south on a daily basis?
The ones depicted in the slide show I mean....
(excepting those stock pics of aerosol planes, which may not be related just for their presence in a slide show)

I do not see them where I am. But I can tell you that those pictures of multiple parallel lines in the sky do not reflect how commercial airlines are routed, and that contrails (condensation trails) do not persist like that. I have no conspiracy theory to offer, but the video I linked to has some rather disturbing reports of high aluminum, barium, and strontium concentrations building up in snow, lakes, and soil in the areas that have seen a lot of this activity.

We've been in prime crop dusting season here. I took a whole series of really cool photos a week or two ago as he was flying over the house here. I remember asking a farmer once, how expensive it was as it seemed to be something that would be outrageous. He told me the cost for value ration depended upon the price of fuel. If fuel was high then having the plane do the work of a tractor was more cost effective.

The sad part, whatever that cropduster was spreading is heading downstream now. Right after it sprayed that field flooded badly for days. It is all Skunk river bottom land. The Skunk river dumps into the Iowa River, The Iowa River dumps into the Mighty Miss......

I worked at IBM for many years and had a commute that was rather long and exposed me to about 45 minutes of Savage's show. I loved how he takes credit for discovering nearly all that is western civilization, all while studying botany in the pacific (where were the cannibals when we needed them?)
The one thing I am extremely grateful for is his (if you believe him anyway) term Islamofacist ... when I hear or read that, I know exactly what I am dealing with in advance of cracking their nut.

The only trails our local crop dusters leave is on the ground. What is on that video looks more like jet trails that are quite common in our skys........except for the weird loopy ones.

Crop dusters fly so close to the ground there is no way they could leave a trail of vapour in the sky. That is why crop dusting via plane is such a dangerous occupation. Often times they are flying lower than power lines and nearby trees.
