Disclaimer : ( this is me NOT hijacking ) ( Yes, a similar question was asked years back, but that post is way over the 6 month necro-age. ) Okay Dohkay, just for fun, for all us non-switches. Dom/mes, what would do if you were a bottom ? S-types, what would do if you were a top ? What aspects of your counterpart would you find easiest to relate to ? my answer is still the same, i'd make a rule about daily full-body massages and weekly brownies.[:)]

Seriously........I think the only aspect I can relate to is when I cook huge meal for a big group of people I love dearly, at my house, and I see them really enjoying it. I love having a house full of people, all having a great time. All the rest I just cannot fathom without huge resentment and ultimately, rage, boiling underneath.

I say it all of the time. I actually have a running list of reasons why I would be a terrible submissive and a royal pain in the butt if I were a bottom. For play, if nothing else, anybody that I'd allow to top Me should get a serious ego stroke out of the deal. I wouldn't be doing it unless it was somebody who was damn good at what they do and I trusted implicitly.

We'd be going to the theater one town over that only shows indie movies. And I'd get to pick restaurants without considering his taste! And most of all, he would not only rub my feet nightly but also have to crawl around picking up all of his dirty socks.

I've thought about it from the point of view of creating a worthwhile experience for a submissive, a scene that would result in effective power exchange. I imagined myself leading a scene in great detail and imposing control on a submissive. At least, I know the things I had in mind would result in a submissive feeling the dominant's control being imposed and the submissive's resistance being surrendered. I could not, however, identify enough with the dominant mentality to know whether my carefully designed scene would also appeal to an actual dominant. Despite much reading here and there, I continue to wonder what motivates dominants and sadists. I am still curious to learn what they desire and enjoy and how they think about it.

i showed him this and he just laughed. i could not top to save my life, if he ordered me to (which he wouldnt) he would have to tell me what to do. and he just said the only person he may be able to bottom to is someone he trusts completely and can out dom him they would have to get him to submit to it and i have seen others try and fail so so badly and they have just ended up on their knees infront of him. also he woudnt take any pain he is amazed at times what i can take.
