How long are we going to sit still for the take over of our country, our government by the fascists. This is what it amounts to.

Somebody's got to fix the complete and utter mess Granhold and the Democrats have made of Michigan over the past two decades. One of these days you progressives will understand how the real world works, until then, continue to whine about those evil conservatives, we love to make progressives cry... What can ya say? We're Sadists:)

Yeah, I can see you guys got the franchise on how the real world works, most of the clowns under re-call, not too good with constitutions, the house like deer in the headlights frozen, bang up job, kids.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/how-republican-governors-could-help-obama-in-2012/2011/06/08/AGSXtFPH_story.html
Last November, the GOP was rejoicing in its sweeping electoral victories. The impressive wins in the House and the big gains in the Senate were, if anything, exceeded by the remarkable victories in the states. Republicans picked up their most seats in decades in legislatures and won key gubernatorial races.

Seven months later, however, things look rather different for the Republicans in governors’ mansions. In Michigan, Rick Snyder has only a 33 percent approval rating, with a hefty disapproval rating of 60 percent. Down in Florida, Rick Scott is at 29 percent approval and 57 percent disapproval. Ohio’s John Kasich has 33 percent and 56 percent, respectively. Wisconsin firebrand Scott Walker is right there at 43 percent approval and 54 percent disapproval.

What daddy?? I'm a 48 year old single woman who raised two children-by myself. my home is mortgage-free and i have a nice little bit set aside (and growing) for my retirement. Also, i have no credit cards, except for the house and car, if i can't afford to pay cash, i don't buy it until i can--which is why i have yet to take the cruise i've always wanted. i'm also a die hard, bleeding liberal. I go to every city, county and school board meeting i can get to, which sadly isn't enough because i work second shift. i write frequently to my local newspaper and elected officials. i don't need anybody to take care of me, but i do want that.

My issue with what is going in MI and elsewhere, even here in PA, is that it is usurping the will of the voting public. those so-called "financial managers" are nothing more than mini dictators, shilling for the corporate elite whose goal is to it destroy our democracy in favor of fascism. When are you republicans going to see that?

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Undemocratic shock doctrine policies (6/27/2011 9:09:41 AM)

Nonsense. The governors who appointed them are doing exactly what they were elected to do.

mnottertail -> RE: Undemocratic shock doctrine policies (6/27/2011 9:11:26 AM)

Apparently not.  I mean who you gonna believe?  Your rabid ideologies or your lying eyes when reality says they ain't getting their 'mandate' right?

subrob1967 -> RE: Undemocratic shock doctrine policies (6/27/2011 10:10:45 AM)

Other than union thugs crying for recalls, I really ain't seeing any backlash, especially here in Indiana... And Daniels killed collective bargaining a few years ago.

Obama has his Czars, Governors have their Financial Managers.

mnottertail -> RE: Undemocratic shock doctrine policies (6/27/2011 10:51:38 AM)

Other than lawless and unconstitutional republican thugs and goons, I havent seen any thing much else.

Michigan is still recovering from the last idiot we had in office. It took her several years to trash this state and it won't get fixed over night.

I fried the video card and my kids friend came over to fix it. After he got it running again my sound drivers were gone. He was supposed to come over and replace the sound board but he keeps forgetting. It's been over a month so it has been rebooted. I tried to reload the drivers but it tells me mine are up to date. Oh and the headphones still work or did until the connection got tore up. I just called the kid and reminded him again so maybe I can get the friend back soon.
