painloveripswich -> dog food (6/26/2011 8:12:43 AM)

good afternoon all, I have a domme who I go to and she likes to lock me in her fairly sizeable cage for long periods.
She has mentioned the idea of only feeding me dog foodwhile in the cage? has anyone actually tried this please?

leadership527 -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 8:21:16 AM)

No, but depending on how long "long periods" are, I don't really see the issue. Dog food is still a food product I'm pretty sure and so isn't going to contain anything poisonous... not even to humans... although I'd check that out if I were the domme. So that pretty much just leaves nutritional imbalance and a human body can survive on just raw calories and water for quite some time before things like vitamins and trace minerals become a real issue. I'm not quite sure how long you're good for, but I'd assume 1-2 weeks of crappy nutrition is something most bodies handle in stride. Hell, teenagers go years on that one :)

txurinal -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 8:22:12 AM)

i remember reading a question about this to Dear Abby. Someone was concerned that they though a person they knew on a fixed income might be resorting to eating dog food. Abby's response was that dog food was made for the nutrition needs of dogs, not humans, so nutritionally was not a good idea but dog food basically would not hurt anyone who ate it.

i have occassionally been fed canned dog food (ALPO was the best tasting) and had no ill effects. i would assume this would not be given to you on a regular basis.

However, cat food is dangerous to consume so keep strickly to dog food if you try this

ahhhhhhh thank you both very much for the replies. I have read a few things about the daner side of things and understand that for the short duration it would be fine.
How does it taste was what i was really after?!?
how come catfood is so dangerous?????

txurinal -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 8:34:40 AM)

Don't know all they reasons that catfood is dangerous other than it has to do with a cat's digestive system and the way catfood is made for it. i have eaten Alpo the meaty chunk variety and it basically tastes like a cheap meat stew. i have always eaten it from the can poured directly into a bowl so do not know if heating it would improve the taste. This brand seems to me to be a little closer to a human meat stew than a can of the thick paste type of dog food.

my MASTERS got very creative with my meals. i was once given canned salmon, canned pineapple, and spaghetti-O's mixed together in my bowl for dinner. Had i been asked a choice, i would have taken the dog food

painloveripswich -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 8:37:35 AM)

mmmmmmmmmmmm fuck that sounds tasty lol.
Tbh i have no idea the type i will be eating. probably a large cheap and nasty can. they are full of jelly over here???

LadyConstanze -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 8:48:05 AM)

I'd be surprised if cat food would be more dangerous, cats tend to eat fresher but as my vet called it, they've got the digestion of a diabetic, so they can't break down carbs very well.

In my student days I did eat the cat Brekkies while being a bit under the influence of a fine Russian grain product, and the only complain I had was that the cookies taste fishy, the headache and sore tummy the next day were more due to the amount of Vodka consumed than the handful of dry catfood.

mmmmmmmmmm thank you all very very much for the help.

windchymes -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 9:50:48 AM)

Those Chef Michael's and Beneful stews look pretty tasty. Maybe if you ask nice, she'll let you use the good silver and cloth napkins.

Charnegui -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 9:59:23 AM)

For all I know a dog's digestive system and a humans are not alike, but compatible.

Lots of medication for human treatment are also used on dogs.

Cats have a different proteine and digestive system, catfood is much saltier than dogfood.

Some dogfoods actually tastes like cornedbeef (not sure if its spelled right)

painloveripswich -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 10:00:09 AM)

hahahahahahaha thanks but im sure that would be very challenging with cuffed hands lol

painloveripswich -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 10:01:21 AM)

Get used to it, before you're on a diet of dogfood *lol*

painloveripswich -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 10:12:29 AM)

lol maybe ur right, or maybe she will allow me to have the dogfood in a sandwich with sliced tomato lol it the only way to make corn beef tollerable imo

NuevaVida -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 11:25:04 AM)

Most cheaper brand dog foods hardly provide enough nutrition for dogs, and are filled with "by-products" - the worst part of a carcass, ground up to become food.  If you're going to eat dog food, I'd suggest more "high end" types, fit for human consumption.  Spots Stew comes to mind.  Labels are your friend, as is research.

painloveripswich -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 11:45:07 AM)

thank you. not ever having owned a dog i have no idea what are top brands and so on.
Ill go to the shop and buy the more expensive type and take it to her then. thank you

DesFIP -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 12:43:43 PM)

One hopes this is more of a mind fuck that not. And that she'll substitute canned beef stew instead.

Of course, if she wants to be a sadist, she could give you corned beef for dinner.

painloveripswich -> RE: dog food (6/26/2011 12:46:56 PM)

lol yep or any kind of pizza with either tuna or pineapple on.
WRONG!
