I was 20 miles inland once working construction and could feel the launch thru the ground.

Hey ... I found a familiar landmark. Patrick Airforce Base. That was to the south of us, and we were at a public beach just north of there, Does that ring any bells FlCouple?

Patrick AFB is 25 miles south of the launch site.  If you were in Cocoa Beach which is north of the AFB, that's still 15+ miles south.
