I guess it's a throw back from when I had to be at work at the asscrack of dawn and had to time crunch every second of the morning prep. that about works for me too. my hair is really long and can get a major curly fizz on when it's humid/damp so i like to make sure it has time to condition so it stays relaxedish. i always use the same medicated shampoo as anything else strips my scalp and leaves my skin sore, and i also use the same conditioner. if i use soap then it has to be made by the same firm, or again it strips my skin. strangely i can use any shower gel or washing up liquid. i do like moisturising body washes as i spend alot of time out doors and i'm crap at all the skincare stuff that alot of ladies do. i too was drawn in by the title in the as the collar turns. it's the first time i've clicked a link from there lol btw, i get toweled in the same fashion as i wash. needles

Oh you youngsters !! Just wait until you are my age and have really dry skin !! When I shower, I shampoo and condition my hair, then do the rest while my conditioner is working. I start at the top and work down. Doesn't every one? The rest involves home made shower salts made with (among other things) dead sea salt and olive oil for the most of me. For under arm and pubic area, I use the natural soap I get from the health food store, my face is treated to a facial cleanser and scrub combo. Thorough rinsing for all parts follows. I far prefer to take a bath, and routinely have weekly "spa nights" that involve major hair conditioning, facial steam, scrub and masque, full body masque, etc. With candles for lighting, of course !!

I wash my face first for no particular reason, then my hair, then do the soap all over thing, then condition my hair. I shave and exfoliate while the conditioner is in. Then I rinse out the conditioner, one final body rinse, turn off the water and apply body oil. I'm kinda busy in the shower lol.

I wash my hair, then put the conditioner in & use a non-scented body wash on the other parts of my body while the conditioner sets in. Then I rinse my body & then my hair, being careful not to rinse all the conditioner out. I use a towel to dry my hair enough that it doesn't drip & to dry my face & arms. Then I wrap the towel around myself & sit at the computer to hang out while I drip dry. I never feel completely dry if I just use the towel, I need to sit for at least 15-20 minutes before I dress. I also use a spray leave-in moisturizer called Sea Plasma on my hair & sometimes my face. I let my hair drip dry also because I love the natural curly wild way that it dries by itself. I rarely comb or brush my hair. I do use a pick sometimes to sort of put it back in order or for before the shampoo to take out some of the loose hairs. I have mass quantities of very fine hair & it tends to come out in handfuls when I wash it.

Top to bottom here, too. I don't usually condition my hair in the shower, I use just a teeny tiny bit of Humectress on my wet hair as a leave in. I usually use conditioner to shave with.....less knicks and scrapes, and it leaves my skin soft. I don't know why, but even in the summer, I need to use lotion. I use Johnson's adult 24 hour lotion, or Lubriderm. It totally soaks into my skin and makes it comfy. If I'm going outside, I'll mix some sunscreen in with it, and I find that stuff sucks the humidity out of the air onto my skin. I HATE that feeling! Like I'm still wet or something.......[:'(]
