A sad thing.

The E Street band will never be as good, in my opinion.

Wow,I knew he was sick...but this is a shock.Spending most of my adult life in New York city seeing Bruce and the E Street Band was pretty much a yearly occurrence.Clarence was always phenomenal ...his sax could exoke every last human emotion..as a matter of fact I am going to put on one of my favorite cuts right now.
Rest in peace Big Man....I'm sure there is one hell of a jam session going on where you are right now.

As Bruce and the E Street Band are my favorites of all time, and I am from NJ, I am particularly sad.

No putz. The big recording studio in the sky.Elvis appears nightly....Sinatra joins him for a duet now and again(he is busy boning Marilyn and Ava....sometimes together) Louis Armstrong sits in...Charlie Parker has been known to show up...and now Clarence can blow

I'm not a huge Bruce fan*, nor am I from NJ, but Clemons was an extraordinarily talented musician, so I'm a bit miffed about it too.

I'd go as far as to say he was probably the best non-Jazz saxophonist I've ever heard.

*I'm certainly not anti- though, and I really liked the earlier stuff.
