To keep the little house fae away from your shiney objects, give them their own.

Get a nice sized bowls and fill it with all things jingly, shiney, and kenetic. They love finger-nail clippers.
Do not put little clothes in there, they hate that. mine don't seem to like pennies either.
All things gifted to your fae will not be in vain, for they will leave your stuff alone, and when the mood strikes them, they might even help you find stuff.

Oh yes, you have to put the bowl up high where the cats can't get to it.[&:]

bwahahahaha!!  I LOVE the song~!

Ok, makes notes on what to do and how to do it.. *smoooch*

hehe great song.

i have spooks that steal my stuff and leave it in the most obscure of places. for instance a pair of tweezers that went missing and turned up under the floor boards at the top of my stairs. the carpet hadn't been up until we found them when having to take the boards up for pipe work. coppers will also turn up in strange places, it used to be piles of then neatly stacked but i think he must be losing some energy as now it's usually single ones.

*as an aside*

I've been happy to have seen ER several times, in Atlanta (DragonCon, Fantasm).

*digs thru boxes*

I know I have a decent, not tacky bowl SOMEWHERE...and shineys to fill it~~)

DAMN my poor packing skills...

FelineFae -> RE: Faery Bowls (6/17/2011 10:15:00 AM)

Chaos is always in charge of our moves, since he can condense a household worth of goods into the bed of a pick-up truck.
i'm not allowed to watch, for i have this sense of organization that can't bare to see what happens in the tetris frenzy...
Whenever we get where we're going, every box is like a wacky christmas morning. Silverware and pillows in one box, bar-soap and dvds in the next...

GreedyTop -> RE: Faery Bowls (6/17/2011 10:35:27 AM)

jeez. sounds like my boxes..except I have more of them..LOL

One of the flat-mates here is haunted by a deceased relative.
We started hanging some bras up high and he's been behaving. He's male.

With my cats, there is no place high enough!  [>:]  Even if I hung them from the ceiling, they'd find a way to jump up into them!

Your title snookered me in. Just had to look.
Don't have a.fairy problem. Have a gremlin problem. Don't even want to motion what they are leaving in my boots. Do fairies eat gremlins?

FelineFae -> RE: Faery Bowls (6/18/2011 10:00:34 AM)

Depends on the kind of relationship that exists, and the sexual preferences of the particular fae and grimlin.[;)]

soul2share -> RE: Faery Bowls (6/18/2011 11:18:51 AM)

Sword, kittehs eat gremlins......or at least keep them out of sight.  Of course, the kittehs are sometimes worse than gremlins!  I found a dead *shudder* mutant Florida roach in one of my shoes....with my foot!  I had the heebee jeebies for the rest of the day!

I have found that faeries seem to like my tool box......I can never find the exact type of screwdriver when I look, but after I've made do, the right one shows up someplace else!  I've tried looking "someplace else" first, but they always seem to be one step ahead of me.  And I can hear little snickers when I turn my back.  [>:]  Sneaky little tricksters!  [image]http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/splumfairysmile.gif[/image]

Do not forget the occasional bowl of cream left out at night for the Brownies.

FelineFae -> RE: Faery Bowls (6/18/2011 10:11:01 PM)

Once Master and i lived in a beautiful artist/biker community called Medicine Park. There we would take all our organic leftovers to the edge of the yard, and "gift" the food to the creatures of the wild.[:)]

It was a great place to live as far as the MidWest goes.

So technical. I thought this would be easy.

I'm surprised you didn't amputate immediately. You checked every shoe didnt you?

I have experienced that missing tool this too. I also know there is a creature sprinkling forget dust on me sometimes when I go into a room. I keep forgetting to look up. So I have yet to ascertain its identity.

Ooooohhhhhhhh Needles, then that must mean I have an army of them following me and living with me.  I can never go into one damn store wanting one article and come out without at least 2 bags of whatever I didn't need.  They loooooooove my apartment.  And they're not on the ceiling, I spend enough time rolling my eyes so that I see the ceiling.

After much study on my part, I've decided they're hiding with the montster dust bunnies and that they're in collusion together.  The bunnies are hiding them and it's a concerted attack for me to lose my car keys, whatever I'm drinking, losing my place in every book I read, losing lighter and cigarettes.  Can't forget where I put down my food, finding just one single spoon right not.  Lemmetellya it ain't easy eatin a bowl of cereal with a fork!!!!!  [8|][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][>:]

Something must be done about this. Someone should start an organization.
