LadyConstanze -> Quick update for all that helped with the dog health question (5/30/2011 1:35:46 PM)

Alf is almost through with his course of antibiotics, the "drippy dick" (whitish discharge) problem has stopped and once he's done with it (in 2 days) he'll have another urine test, I'm positive it will come out clear, and I'll have some words with the vet about the fact that if they try to freak me out and get me to spend a few K on completely not necessary tests, I may as well take 5 pets to another vet, who's more interested in the pets health than the cash register...

Glad he is doing well!

Now if I could get a pill for him and Kia to stop snoring...

Watching that program about the pyramids in Egypt and got a dog let and right snoring loudly

Great news [:)]

In regards to my chosen quote of your lines, because of such behaviour I recently wrote a few lines to a local vet...I enquired about what is necessary for a pet passport and their receptionist INSISTED that each of my cats would need to be up to date with their vaccinations for the pet passport...and completely dismissed it when I told her that their own homepage as well as a different vet says differently...

needless to say, that vet lost business with me, cause I don't have 60 pound per cat on top of 95 pound per cat for that damn passport right now...

95 pound multiplied 5 ok...but on top of it another 60 pound multiplied 5??? I don't quite think so [8|]

Actually I think that you really have to be on top with the jabs for the passport, the whole rabies thing is the real pain in the neck, we're getting one for Alfie, Kia's passport cost us about £300, the cats don't travel with us, they'd be unhappy to do so and prefer to stay at home but the doggies will come with us...

I'm delighted, even if slightly exhausted, what a way to spend a rainy bank holiday - lots of dog walkies and ended looking like a drowned rat.... On the other hand, I think how much good 4 hours of steep walking are doing me, so I'm alright with my legs hurting like hell (again)

I'm glad to hear he's doing better. :)

He didn't even seem to be bothered by it, it was more me going "Uhhh white stuff coming out of his penis and he's castrated - NOT good..."

I can't help wonder if some dogs are rather stoic in exhibiting pain.

My parents' dog ate almost a whole tray of raw dough that had been left out overnight so it could rise. This dog's gut was rock hard and I knew she had to be in a lot of pain. The only difference I noticed in her was that she wasn't quite as boisterous. Otherwise, her behaviour didn't change a bit. I can report that today, she's happy, healthy and well past that incident. ;)
