I'd say the score was approximately even given the inherent mismatch , and considering that the dog survived being sucked out of a garage and carried an undetermined distance away before being slammed down or into something.
When reading the story and learning of the two broken legs I thought "wow, must have been hard dragging two broken legs behind it," but then I found out they were the -front- legs! "but how did it ... I mean how could it ... ?" etc.

Notice where the porch is situated and the stairs the dog had to negotiate to get there, where he was waiting for his owners.
Here he gets all fixed up, and probably not bothered by the other dogs giggling at his taped legs, saying "ha! ya look like a lamb now!"

I can imagine Mason (the dog's name), after finally being slammed to earth by the tornado, trying to get up like the Black Knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail and watching the tornado recede, saying "Ah! I see! Runnin' away, are ya? Come back here ya yellow bastard!"
