JLH was a guest last season as a rape victim, and believe it or not, she was actually ok.

But never to replace Mariska, no way.

I just cant see JLH as having the right kind of EDGE, like Benson has.. maybe I cant get past seeing JLH as a touchy feely kinda chick, if that makes sense

To be honest, I have been getting fed up with Benson and Stabler lately. Hot or not, I felt for a while that they have gone too far around the bend.There was more than one episode where I just wanted to punch one or both of them.
I would love to see Munch play a more prominent role again, maybe getting Munch/Tutuola to be the front line team, and having the new guys as the backup.

Law and Order CI: this is supposed to be it's final season and Law and Order LA has been cancelled and won't be returning.

The last time I saw L&O: CI Eames turned in her shield after having to fire Goren.  How did they bring them back? (Couldn't stand the replacements)!!

Monkey, while  simply ADORED Stabler the 1st 8 seasons, I agree w/another poster that he & Benson are getting kind of stale.  They seem to be on automatic now w/their sympathy for the vicims. Not very genuine.  I'm sure that's true in real life of detectives in that for so long but this is a tv show so a little more acting like in the beginning would be nice.  Tho I must admit that this is my favorite of all the L&O's!

Makes sense to me.  There's something about her that screams "VICTIM" not "hard-boiled lady cop."  I just can't see her looking a killer in the eye and pulling the trigger to save her partner's life.  JLH would make a better supporting character like a victims' rights advocate or psychologist.

Damn, that's a shame. A friend and I always watch SVU over here. Don't know how the show could work without 'Bullet-head' (as we call him).

None of the other "Law & Order" shows ever appealed to me but this one - with its great storylines and Meloni and Hargitay - always has. It won't be the same without either or both of them and I may not continue watching. But...there's always every past season on Netflix which I watch regularly anyway. Just have to get used to no new ones [:o]

I can always pop in an "Oz" dvd & watch Chris Meloni peeing buck nekkid into a bucket in his cell! YOWZA!!!  C0ck shot and all!!!  Or watch him as he bends over & spreads his cheeks WIDE to show his lover in another cell!

Munch is great. He was in Homicide: Life on the Street, as the same character. For me that series was the best tec show of any kind, ever.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, it just won't be the same without him.  And I liked L&O: LA.  Too bad it's gone after just one season.  O well, times change and stars start demanding too much.
