you could get a watch and have your barcode engraved on the back. that wouldn't be too unusual; people often often get little messages engraved on watches for husbands.
personally, i like symbolism, and that's really all slave register is -- symbolism.
for some people, having a barcode like a box of kleenex helps them feel their status. different strokes for different folks.
some people think collars are REALLY silly, while others swear by them. =p if slave register works for your and your Mistress, then that's all that matters, or at least it should be all that matters.

personally, i think it's a cute idea, though i doubt i'd ever use it.

No...I don`t look at *it* because anyone can get a *number*

Congrats to you and Yours...

If it holds symbolic significance for you, I am genuinely happy for you and your partner. That being said .. please, please .. do not be offended by my response because this is just an opinion/observation.
"I suspect most people on C.M. have not/do not employ sites such as S.R. because {if memory serves} that type site rose in popularity due to msn/yahoo chatrooms" about a decade or more ago."

Is this slave register only an on-line thing?

will you be registered forever?
can you be dismissed or remove yourself from this register?

wantblackwomen -> RE: Slave Register (5/24/2011 5:30:38 PM)

i want to be owned by a mistress who will train me in the right way

faithbunny -> RE: Slave Register (5/24/2011 9:13:51 PM)

I registered myself as a surprise gift to my beloved years ago. We're idly considering getting my barcode tattooed on some hidden part of me when we get married. To me it was sort of a pre-marriage license--something demonstrating that I was seriously giving myself to him, not just playing games. I never go to the site--although I'm on it now to check out that barcode jewelry. ; )

As to what you can do celebrate--right hand rings?

It is no different than the various "Who's Who" registries that exist, or that star registry thing that allows you to name a star after somebody.  The registry organization holds no official status, and is recognized by no one.  Their registry is meaningless, and is merely a way of separating people from their money.

There's no need to lie about it :( Registration on TSR is completely free and always has been.

Okay, so it's free.  That doesn't change the fact that it holds no official status and is recognized by no one.  It's basically imaginary. You could create a certificate of your own on your computer, and it would be just as official.  But if it makes someone feel good to register with them, then they are free to do so.  Being happy is the ultimate goal, so do what makes you happy.

I think they should have to wear one of those giant orange plastic cones that they use to signify problem areas.

My hat is off to the entrepreneur who was clever enough to create a site that has bilked so many people with a pile of steaming doo...
