When I use a quote or rely button, I get the box, but no cursor. I cannot type at all
Does anyone have an idea why??
Im using chrome now, but this forum is just not working in firefox for me

pahunkboy -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 1:07:26 PM)

I am fine.

Arpig -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 2:24:38 PM)

Yeah, not always, but every once in a while Firefox does that to me too. I haven't figured out what the issue is, I just close the page and reopen it from my mailbox and it works. Sometimes an easy work around will quell the desire to solve a problem. [;)]

Lucylastic -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 3:23:40 PM)

I think I broke firefox, but the desire to figure it out is playing rip van winkle right now.
maybe later, or maybe I just use chrome till I break that too

MasterG2kTR -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 3:43:06 PM)

I have not upgraded to 4.x yet. I have heard of too many people having problems with it. I'm still using 3.6 which works just fine.

ashjor911 -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 3:44:11 PM)

1- upgrade you current version of FireFox, to latest 4.0.1
2- rest all your settings to defult

I just switched to a new laptop and from WIN XP to WIN7. Tried firefox and can't even get it to open any emails from my hotmail account. I hatea IE but it's what I'm using because I just don't have the time or the patience right now to try and figure it out. I have to move in 2 wks, maybe after I'm unpacked I'll try it again.

<<<<<< Not known for patience when it comes to things like this. I tend to want to throw things out the window. [8D]

Lucylastic -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 4:55:36 PM)

ooops   I have 3.6

ashjor911 -> RE: Firefox issues (5/20/2011 5:39:02 PM)

another link but its for a forum.... i dont know if this is allowed ...... quoteing from it....

quote:

I had the same issue on my laptop, I had Windows 7 in my notebook and I was using Mozilla Firefox 4.0 as the default browser for my system. I was getting the same type of problem. Only the few part of the data were display, so I decided to change the font size and style. And guys it worked for me and also I disabled the web pages font, I allowed only my font to use on the web pages and surprisingly it worked for me, ihave gone through many forums and found out that Mozilla firefox 4.0 does have problem in displaying the content due to it’s font sizes.

quote:

I have a solution for this kind of problem, because this will happen every time if you only increase the font size so I will recommend you the Add-on which I am using. I guess it will be better if you set some setting for zoom level of page. So you will be able to read the content without increasing the size of particular font or data. Use “Default FUllZoom level 4.5” and in Toolbar buttons there is an option for page zoom and the text zoom so after this you can zoom the page contects and will; not get any overlapped contents.

quote:

zooming the whole page or font will be better idea to read the content. You will be able to read each and every thing without changing the font size. I just want to suggest you the another Add-on for Mozilla Firefox 4.0. It’s Nosquint it allows you too adjust text size and full-page size i.e text and images and you can set both of them at a time if you want. And you can set color settings too and it works for all the web sites, Hope this will solve your problem.

but hey I just thinked of this ..... why do you have to go for system restore...... after 21-05-2011 .... just kidding

I'm home most days and nights too of course. Have to start packing. YIKES!!!! 2 wks left to go. [>:]

Back on topic, I'm going to try to go back to the older version, when I ran it on my dead PC it worked fine. That's why I gave up IE it was freezing too much. Still out in the boonies, so lousy reception doesn't help.

Once upon a time my nickname was butterfly(well that was the kind one)

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: Firefox issues (5/21/2011 8:38:54 PM)

The site is designed and works best in IE. Just sayin...... I know there are places Firefox doesn't work for me well. Because there are so many add ons, they do not always react well to the site programming.

Lucylastic -> RE: Firefox issues (5/21/2011 9:56:48 PM)

Thanks VA, I know there are more options in IE, but I just dont like it, and nine times out of ten, FF is fine here, But it ended up to be an ID10T user error with the java update being overwritten... I dont use many add ons, they are such speed hogs.
I gave myself a good talking to:)

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: Firefox issues (5/21/2011 10:31:54 PM)

I never used the add-ons with Firefox.  Didn't when I loaded it on the new laptop and my IE doesn't seem to be freezing like it did when I was using the tower.

Actually, add-ons askeeeers me! [:D]
