A few years ago I saw a film that played early in the morning for the second time.
It was a Canadian film probably shot in the 1930's and it was about a deaf girl who was basically ignored by her family of kept out of school until the country doctor learned of her and took her under his wing and then took her to Ottowa to have her tested and found out that she was pretty intelligent.
It was a delightful film though it did have some sad parts in it.
Does anyone know the name of this film?

You seriously couldnt find that yourself? 4 words is all it took.....besides it being one of the most famous movies of the late 40s (which is sorta close to 30s in geological time)

Ahhh but what four words ? This spurred me on to do a search myself. I found the movie via a link to IMDB from the Google results page, but couldn't watch it from there. Through Google again armed with the title I found it online, free and no commercials. Once I tell you the title you'll know why.

Phantom Planet (1961). Now who else in here would have the balls to admit that ? But really when I was a kid it was the coolest thing. Now it's one of those where you are still laughing during the serious parts.

Do you know if you type almost any word into IMDB it'll have a movie based on it or involving that word?

Same with Google. Each word refines the search - kinda. Tell you what is hard to get used to is the search engines in P2P programs. I still haven't quite figured them out. That's important now that the network is so salted, and at least on mine quotes and asterisks don't work.

Refines the search - kinda. I've also found that when looking for a song title when you only have partial lyrics, they must be in quotes or else you get a bagillion results. I think I am the only one in history ever to only get one hit in a Google search. And it was the correct result. I mean you could put in efw;jef3 and get at least a page I think.

(I did just that now and got over 9,900 results lol)

In this case the obvious 4 words deaf doctor canada movie voila 4th listing, and the first one other than a reference to Leslie Nielsen that obviously wasnt as old as he remembered.

Phantom Planet...one of the best episodes of MST3000.

Maybe that illustrates it, this Zengoogle thingy. Find four words. Four words that are as least used as possible. I mean how many people put viola into a search ? That word was probably the major "thrust" and the others just steered. Adding the other words just narrowed it down enough so you could see the pertinent results. Seems to work.

But not every search engine is the same.
