I train with a crop. It has reach and can cause a range of stings.
Speaking pure spanking, I enjoy my bare hand the most but sometimes nothing else will do save a good wooden paddle.

I have never used a cane. . . . . . but it's on my list to buy.

I have a paddle my dad made. He was a high school shop teacher and every time he'd bring one home, it would suddenly get "lost". ;-)

It packs a wallope.

ETA.....I also have a lovely English riding crop, but that's not so much for spanking as it is for ....um, cropping [;)]

Whips, crops, floggers, canes, hands... They all have their merit and are great fun. Depends on the mood and the situation, but then I always said it's fun and not a religion, if I'm not enjoying it, where's the point?

Canes ain't silent when I use em. They go hisssssssssssssssssssssssss, Thhhhwwwwwwwwack, "Aaaahhhhhgggggghhhhhhhh." and what a great sound it is.

Now me, I like straps. Leather, plastic, studded, oh hell to the yeah. Especially the heavy weighted ones that do deep tissue work and leave bruises that last for weeks.
But hey, I ain't picky. I'll use dowel rods, curtain rods, lengths of garden hose, sacks full of oranges, mop handles and toilet plungers (Plus plungers have many other fun uses!).
All good times cuz Kana likes impact play, marks and hearing her scream and mewl and watching those thigh muscles go all quivery and weak when she's right on the edge of taking too much.

No one else has a preference for their own bare hand?  I suppose, strictly speaking, calling it a 'toy' might be something of a stretch, but it's so much more personal.  I do also like an aluminum target arrow...  they're a little light, but the feathers on the end come in handy for other reasons.

A sack full of oranges? I suppose you could use the bruised fruit to make marmalade after.

If it isn't his hand then I don't think of it as spanking. The other stuff I think of as beatings, whippings, cropping, paddling and so on. I guess I'm a traditionalist.

I have one particular wooden paddle that never hits gently.    Even when the Top is swinging lightly, that thing is heavy and gets some attention.  How can you not love something that demands attention in that way?

Bare Hands, Flogger, paddle, crop or whatever the Hell I see and can get my hands on at the time. The kitchen can be a fun place. Rods off window blinds whatever. If I'm wearing a belt.. oh yeah.. that's yummy too. Newspapers, Catalogs (you'll never look at LL Bean or Victoria Secret the same way again), wooden spoons, Back scratchers. I've spanked somebody before with a box of cereal /* I ain't right you know (like I said whatever I eye up or grabs my attention.

Bare hand is the preference, but a crop for striking the exact same location numerous times when it's already darkened, raw and burning.

The sack of oranges is tempting to try though.

I also like those long braided strands of licorice.
They are about a foot abd a half long, in RED or BLACK, and they hurt nicely, and you can eat the evidence when you're finished playing! ♥
