As for not liking that you don't want to get married, maybe I didn't make myself clear: I DO NOT CARE, I don't want to marry you, I haven't seen anybody here proposing to you, so stop making a big deal out of it, move on, there is no danger anyway... You can stop throwing tantrums.

I must make a note to read up on the expected behaviour of wedding guests on your planet... I guess hitting the groom over the head with a rolling pin would be a slight faux pas?

Get over it, and yes, you did master the quote button, I am impressed, I still don't want to marry you, terribly sorry to disappoint you but I think you're a bit too anal for my taste and I prefer them smart, if I want toddler like behavior and petty fits, I think I consider getting pregnant, so I really have no interest in you. i have seen some bizarre marriage ceremonies in vegas, and they were legally married. this could be altered to be a collaring ceremony.

OP, you're 48. You have no adult children? No elderly parents? No siblings? No nieces and nephews? Because not inviting anyone whose sexuality you don't know about in detail means there will be a permanent wall between you. When your college aged kid asks why he wasn't invited to the wedding, what would you tell him? And do you really think your wife would enjoy starting out the marriage knowing your family hates her from day one. Because they will blame her for not being invited. Or are you going to ask your mother to explain her past sexual desires in detail so you can rule if she's sufficiently kinky to come?

I'm fine with the idea of marriage, but not weddings. It's the wedding aspect more than the kinky fantasy that would put me off. If I ever do get married, I really hope my future spouse will share my feelings about having a small courthouse ceremony.

Family takes such things personally. My brother's getting divorced from a woman who has always sought to separate him from his family. Starting from a hole in the wall wedding without inviting anyone from day one. As far as dealing with any possible behavior at a wedding, you must have a hell of a poker face. Most people don't. Just as I don't expect clowns and ice cream at a funeral, I don't expect naked crawling spouses at a wedding. The only way you could know if you were going to handle it was to have it made perfectly clear in the invite.I must admit I'd love to see the wording of the invitation.
