Good Morning, Lasties, from the Land of the Morning Calm. Rx Win for me... i have been rationed out my needed medications to continue the treatments from my state-side doctors. Although i gotta say, "Fritz me running!" New locale, new doctor, new treatment methods. This guy, found an old old old digi' med' record online, stateing that i'm positive for hyperthyroidism. News to me! He wants to put me on a beta-blocker for the following reasons; rapid heart rate, something else boring, and anxiety. The former-most is normal, however, the later is not, uh, smiled upon by the US medical authorities. i think there might be something a little hinky about his motives for this method of treatment. i can't figure out if this is a good idea or not. On the one hand, betablockers would lessen my anxiety, slow my heart rate, and are known to increase potassium. On the other hand, the decrease in blood presssure could cause me faint more often.
