Follow up question.

Along with books, have you considered hitting some rope 101 classes?  I know that's not generally your thing and you are the type to do well with diagrams, but is it a potential additional option?

For what it's worth, I don't know when we'll get a chance to see each other in person again, and by far I don't consider rope as My strongest point, but I'll be happy to teach you everything that I know.

I'm not against attending an actual workshop and Victoria is heavy on kink so it shouldn't be all that hard. Heck, I can probably just put an add in the FL Personals and get someone who knows this stuff to help.

Probably given enough annoyance I can work through the instructions in the Knotty Boys book. I did, however, want to warn others that they make fine picture books if you're into paying for photos of rope bondage. They do not provide instructional material worth having unless your divine intervention is ready at hand.

also have a download of a whole bunch of thier video clips...

all this reminds that I must get busy with the ropes... practice practice practice.

he aesthetics as much as the sheer restrained pervery of it all.

(I hope you're paying attention litle lady!)

I haven't looked at any of the TKB books, but their videos are terrific for instruction. They're very clear, and easy to follow. They break each tie down step by step, and go thru it slowly so a novice can follow along at home. Personally, I don't do well with static diagrams for the most part, so I went straight to the videos. Last time I visited the TKB site, they had things set up so you could DL each video individually, or get them all in one big zip file.

yes i've seen a knotty boys book. as cactus says, the aethetics of some of their work is wonderful. i've just bought a good length of treeline rope that has a lovely feel originally for making into ropes for horses, but pervery has come to mind instead. although it still may not be long enough for very extencive work, but i can always buy more [:)]

attention has been paid.

I used to have some silken rope, quite thick, heavy and glossily black.

I would sit and fiddle with the stuff for an age, simply because it felt so good and had such potential.

rope is lovely stuff.

Adds to the Ledger: Do Rope.
