This is how it all started, folks, even long before 'Hanoi Jane.'

The maddening outright disrespect to the existing paradigm of it all, as at least was the commercilly available provocateurship available to the time.

Perhaps that could have included that point in the OP too? I probably qualify too lol but I reckon it has something to do with poor British-American relations and tensions caused by Iraq etc.
