How does one block hidden profiles and users from making unwanted contact?
It's not listed in the FAQ (not even the word "block" shows up in a search).

You can block them by simply going to the box where it says "settings for this user" and checking "block user" and then "save changes" button.

The problem is they "have no profile" to block.
(And they brag about circumnavigating this openly elsewhere on CM.com)

Any person who has contacted you, whether they have an active profile or not, will have the "block sender" button at the bottom of the email that you have received.  If they haven't contacted you, I'm not sure if there is a way to do it.  I'm sure that someone who is more knowledgeable than I will be able to provide more information.

Sweetie, anyone who wants to can hide their profile on CM. I do that b/c I am just here for the message boards, which I quite enjoy. The meat market angle, not so much.

Good luck though, your previous thread must have earned you some brownie points with the mods, I am sure.

hahaha *rolls around on the floor laughing* you made me spit out my tea....I think I love you. I am also starting to think he is a masochist. Poking you with a stick can not be the act of an intelligent man.

Please stay on topic and avoid personal attacks on other users, folks.
Thank you.

Rep, you might want to do a bit of proofreading and spell check on your web pages.

While I'm sure you are being absolutely inundated with unwanted mail, the solution is to simply click the "block user" button on their mail to stop further contact.  Also, on the other side, click the HELP button and read the information you find there.

There really is nothing further to say on this subject.

I would STRONGLY suggest you check your mail.

JAS, he hasn't left yet.....sure is taking his own sweet time, ain't he?

Course, if he's trying to block the gold brodered stuff, he's outta luck there......and based on a few posts I've read, that may be all that he's getting!

*nods to the mods*

No I don't think she would spam him. I think she might make him look foolish, but it was just my opinion.

myotherself -> RE: How does one block hidden profiles and users from making unwanted contact? (4/24/2011 1:23:45 AM)

I think he's gone...*sob*

...and reappeared on another well-known fet site ranting about how he has been persecuted and thrown off 'another fet site' for his religious beliefs [:D]
