The warning is frequently longer than the profile it is protecting. Instead, I treat it as an "I'm clueless" warning and simply ignore those profiles.

I've  actuallys een some profiles on Fet where that idiotic "warning" is the only thing in the entire profile. What in god's name anyone who posts this on their profile thinks they are actually accomplishing is completely beyond me. Don't these people take a moment and ask themselves, "wait a minute - what good is this going to do"?

It's posted usually by people who can't be arsed to read the TOS and who think that they're so important that someone is actually going to want to study them academically.

Thing is, whatever you post on this site becomes part of this site and you have no 'legal ramifications' to speak of. The only people who have the legal ramifications are the site owners.

Thing is, nobody is that important. Nobody is out there trying to get you.

That is, not unless someone's ex decides that you've offended them in some way.
