Disassembly of the craft might reveal secrets about fuel injection. Germans had it before we did, and I don't think they were using laser technology to make the IC chips that didn't exist at the time. The American planes had carbeurators, which meant they would stall in sub zero gravity or flying upside down.

The did it without yuppies, government grants and 38,000 people to review it. The just did it.

And the technology that made those Messerschmits work made helicopter possible. Look up "swash plate".

I would love to take the thing apart myself.
