does anyone why the edit option is no longer available?

it disappears after awhile, it is on a timer.

There is a variant of Murphy's Law at work with the edit button... it will disappear five seconds before you discover that typo that makes you look like an uneducated, inarticulate idiot. [:)]

The edit feature goes away about 30 minutes or so after you post.
