Marini, no I'm not at all "fond" of Obama. He's an amateur who thinks he's lecturing students at some ivy league school and I don't like his policies or politics. That's not to say that I "like" Gingrich, Hucklebee,Pawlenty or the others.I don't! YUCK!
Sara Palin's not even running but everytime they hear her name the dingleberries in here start panicing! "Fuck Palin! She's FOX NEWS!"

Rule, why does that "amaze" you? I don't "want" people to "believe" anything about me.
And why would *any* moderate or Independant want to say anything nice about Democrats? They're the opposite of moderates and Independants! Look at Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and a hundred others.
As I've said before many times (and please do write this down somewhere so I don't have to keep repeating myself) I want to see BOTH the Republicans and Democrats go extinct. I just hope the Democrats go extinct *first* as they're the most disgusting of the two.

Well Popeye, be prepared to "write in" another candidate next year.
I doubt the Republicans will come up with a candidate that will "win" against President Obama!

I am not thrilled about the job President Obama is doing, but he inherited a sinking ship, and he is 10 billion times better than baby Bush, so at least we are going in the right direction.

Facts are Facts. Obama had 69,456,897 popular votes, McCain 59,934,814.

Overall, whites made up 76.3% of the record 131 million people who voted in November's presidential election, while blacks made up 12.1%, Hispanics 7.4% and Asians 2.5%.

The levels of participation by black, Hispanic and Asian eligible voters all increased from 2004 to 2008, reducing the voter participation gap between themselves and white eligible voters. This was particularly true for black eligible voters. Their voter turnout rate increased 4.9 percentage points, from 60.3% in 2004 to 65.3% in 2008, nearly matching the voter turnout rate of white eligible voters (66.1%). For Hispanics, participation levels also increased, with the voter turnout rate rising 2.7 percentage points, from 47.2% in 2004 to 49.9% in 2008. Among Asians, voter participation rates increased from 44.6% in 2004 to 47.0% in 2008. Meanwhile, among white eligible voters, the voter turnout rate fell slightly, from 67.2% in 2004 to 66.1% in 2008.

According to the exit polls in last year's presidential election, the candidate preference of non-white voters was distinctly different from that of white voters. Nearly all (95%) black voters cast their ballot for Democrat Barack Obama. Among Latino voters, 67% voted for Obama while 31% voted for Republican John McCain. Among Asian voters, 62% supported Obama and 35% voted for McCain. In contrast, white voters supported McCain (55%) over Obama (43%).

Why is this important?

Look at who the GOP is targeting in their budget cuts, their union busting, their abortion issues, their educational reform, their immigration reform.

Then take another look at the above results.

Even my nephew who goes to U.N.H. took down the poster in his room of "Mr Hopey Changey" and he's in that critical 18-35 age group. (24)
And the housing market continues to go down, the job situation is abyssmal, and wait till the class of 2011 can't get jobs in their chosen fields.

McCain was supposed to be the "chosen" one. Didnt happen. The ecomony was so sour no one wanted a repeat. The people still blame the GOP for the mess we are in today. As the next election rolls around, the voting booths will fill again. The GOP may very well sustain the white vote again. It wont be able to carry the "other" votes. Why? Because they shot themselves in the foot on the state level. These governors who think... yeah... I got 2 more years to make these people happy... forgot year two is an election year for the President. Obviously, someone needed to send out a memo.

Sadly, we need to "seize" (to use the inflammatory words of the left) the White House and Senate before we can really do some good. Asking for a measley 61 billion cut in spending is a drop in the bucket when you look at a 14 trillion dollar deficit, FOUR TRILLION since Dear Leader took over. BUT, I've found the silliest excercise is the one where I as a conservative try to be rational with a Democrat/leftist. The only think I want to do is DEFEAT them.

Ah yes, refuse your own to feed the beast. Im not here to argue the merits of how the voting populace will perceive the actions of the states. Just pointing out the obvious.

Math isnt your strong suit. The CBO put the deficit at 1.3 Trillion the day before Obama took office. Its now on pace for 1.6 trillion dollar.
