SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (MarketWatch) — Yes, “there’s class warfare, all right,” warns Warren Buffett. “But it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” Yes, the rich are making war against us. And yes, they are winning. Why? Because so many are fighting this new American Civil War between the rich and the rest. Not just the 16 new GOP governors in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and across America fighting for new powers. Others include: Chamber of Commerce billionaires, Koch brothers, Forbes 400, Karl Rove’s American Crossroads, Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform — which now has 97% of House Republicans and 85% of the GOP Senators signed on his “no new taxes” pledge — the Tea Party and Reaganomics ideologues.

But the sane people here wanna resort to smoke screens.. and are ignorant to what is happening?

What did "you" win? A failing economy? No way to support that economy? Governors that are facing recalls?

Elighten us.

Thanks, Lucy!!!  You did it better than I could have figured out how to do it!  Since you went to the trouble, I'll post the caption underneath that photo............

Playing All Over Wisconsin Through Jan. 3, 2012

Although Scott Walker stars as the villain of this political potboiler, there's a strong supporting cast playing 8 Republican state senators also facing recall. Enablers of Walker's ambitious dream of leapfrogging to high national office on the backs of Wisconsin workers, the senators sacrifice their own careers in blind obedience to the opportunistic scheming of their boss. It's an exciting tale of blind ambition going disastrously awry, of overweening hubris brought low by the heroic resistance of hundreds of thousands of working men and women all over Wisconsin.

Warren Buffet just said what we knew to be true, the Republican party is of the rich, and for the rich, the hell with the middle class.

ROFL. Warren Buffet...a Dem and one of the richest men in the world....somehow supports your theory that the Republicans are the party of the rich. Precious logic.

The facts are that there IS NO PARTY OF THE RICH. The rich support whomever they expect to win and their contribution dollars to not be wasted. Recently that has been Dems.

Washington Examiner

The contributions from the richest 20 zip codes went overwhelmingly Dem in 2008.

Gee, let us examine who is benefiting from policies that have been keyed to specific income groups, like the Koch brothers, or anyone making over a half million dollars. The REPUBLICAN party were willing to let ALL the bush tax cuts expire if they did not get the MASSIVE tax cuts extended for the wealthy.

Seems pretty fucking obvious, even for someone like you.

What about the massive tax cuts extended for the middle class?

Seems pretty obvious that where the contributions are coming from answer the question better than legislation that needs at least somewhat bipartisan support to get passed in most cases. But to a flaming idealogue like you, nothing is obvious if it doesnt fit your worldview.

mnottertail -> RE: I thought the left was the "enemy" but..... GOP dictators killing democracy (3/23/2011 1:30:33 PM)

Yeah, what about those massive tax cuts, how does that play out in real money?

Without a job those extra $4.50 in the paycheck a week don't get it.

We didn't get any cuts other than what was in tarp.

Funny, the polls showed that the MAJORITY of Americans were more than willing to let the tax breaks on the wealthy expire. And the republicans say they listen to the people. That is bullshit.

Of course, the majority of the American people make less than $250,000 a year, but that means nothing to the republicans and their corporate bosses.

Louve00 -> RE: I thought the left was the "enemy" but..... GOP dictators killing democracy (3/23/2011 6:41:17 PM)

I still think George Carlin had a better grasp on it all than some.....

"The Washington Examiner is a free daily newspaper published in Springfield, Virginia, and distributed in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. It is owned by Denver billionaire Philip Anschutz.[2] The newspaper was formerly distributed only in the suburbs of Washington, under the titles of Montgomery Journal, Prince George's Journal, and Northern Virginia Journal. Anschutz purchased their parent company, Journal Newspapers Inc., in October 2004. On February 1, 2005, the paper's name changed to the Washington Examiner, and it adopted a logo and format similar to that of another newspaper owned by Anschutz, the San Francisco Examiner.[3] The Examiner's parent company, Clarity Media Group, also owns the conservative opinion magazine The Weekly Standard.[4]"
Come on, dude.  A free newspaper?

The San Francisco Examiner (also free to a limited area) isn't a Bay Area powerhouse either.  SF's paper is the San Francisco Chronicle.
