Not much to go on, but I'd start by making sure your Flash BHO didn't get trashed somehow.

Mine did that a couple weeks ago. Here is what they say and it worked but, I had to use a video I had on my FB and not one right there at yahoo

Some of you are having issues watching YouTube Videos. If you can hear audio, but are not seeing the video, you've come to the right place. Please try one, or both, of the following workarounds to temporarily fix this issue:
Right click on the player > click Settings > Disable Hardware Acceleration > Refresh your Internet Browser
Try closing your browser and re-load the video

If you have more than one browser I assume this is cross browser. I've seen where the updates get out of sync., for lack of  better term. You could be getting an update on purpose, and you might have no idea one is automatic, and going on in the background. Before they tell you they know everything, one good try of this should help :

Uninstall all browsers except what came with your version of Windows, IE whatever. Get online and update that browser, force it to overwrite, make it just be new now. THEN go get the flashplayer from Adobe and the console from Sun and whatever else. Then AFTER that, install any browsers you like. Like it or not, other browsers are not much more than a skin for IE. Windows is still the OS and IE has alot to do with how anything gets connected. At least that's my conclusion, from the fact that I have done a few times what I just told you to do, and it worked. Fix IE right, and the rest of the browsers are all fixed, and that includes P2P search engines, third party browsers like Automan, Force, whatever Paltalk uses. All of it connects through Windows and IE is integral to Windows. So this is at least the first step. It's like a cleanup of the basement. If it doesn't work, we'll see then.

The same problem hit me this morning. After frustrating failures of "disabling this" and "reloading that," I went to the youtube message forum help section. Apparently the problem is at youtube's end but, until the get their thumbs outta their asses, there is a temporary solution: Change the HTTP in the adress bar to HTTPS.

I worked for me (yay! I can watch my Pink Floyd videos again!). I hope it works for you.

HERE is the message board I found the solution on.

I tried pulling up 2 videos and got nothing but the black box.  I ran the crap cleaner and problem solved.  Took 2 minutes.

My youtube seems to be working normally again... I hope that means they got their act together.

If you're running Windows then I'd do what Kirata suggested.

If you're running Linux check that you have installed all the updates for the version of the distro you're using.

Alternatively you could update your browser, as I've noticed myself this is an issue particularly with Firefox and Seamonkey.

Yeah, here too! I guess it was a problem on their end!
Thanks for all your answers!
