Calm down, calm down. Its not the Pope you are thinking of, but an obnoxious British fraudster. [8D]

These guys that con the elderly or those that have worked hard for their money deserve all the jail time they get.

OK the guy's a prick and a scumbag, but don't feel pity for his victims. If they got through life being that stupid.............

People need aversion therapy when they don't have brains. What they need is like a dog shocker collar to zap them whenever they reach for their checkbook, or chequebook, whichever it may be. Is it getting so bad that anyone can just walk up to anyone and get them to give up their life savings ? Is that who raised the highly intellectual, sharp, respondent, leaders of society who should be looked up to ? The altruistic thinkers who took us out into the galaxy and beyond ? (oops, that didn't happen)

My Father taught me about scams, and no, that was not our game at all. We earned most of our money. But through life, we kept some of it because we could see a sucker deal coming.

Jim Watt said it - " If they are that stupid now, what do you think they were when they were younger ? ". I'm not saying that it was right to scam them, but if this asshole didn't, someone else would.

Might be their government.

ETA : When the government finds any assets, do you think they will be returned to the victims ? Doesn't seem so here, that from my PERSONAL OBSERVATION.

What does this have to do with either Politics or Religion?

If the guy was in the UK scamming US citizens, or using the lack of real accountable records because it's overseas, it might count. This might forward the cause of international law, which would mean international jurisdiction which would mean the one world government in a way, something noone believes will ever happen. But now they might think it should. So the publicity is there to forward that goal. That is if the goal exists. I can't say it doesn't, can you ?

Of course it would've been fine in OTD.

Can't you see the connection to the right wing 'trickle down' economic theories? Lie, scam and cheat as many people as possible to make profit for the privileged few.

In other words a Blairite.

Thought I said that.
