This is a sad day.

"This is a sad day. "

Yup, they could be treated like fine Ladies, pampered and cushioned from the knocks and shocks of life.

But they would rather be welders, like Rosie the riveter, and fight in battle like a soldier. They really fucked up.

T^T

If only you'd watched the video you might actually get it.

I sent the link to a female friend of mine, but advised her not to read the comments below it. Pfft. She's used to it.

I wasn't aware of this holiday until I started working with Ukrainians, who have the day off. My guy must have celebrated a little too much, cuz his work is not up to his usual standards today :)

"If only you'd watched the video you might actually get it. "

Sorry, now that I have watched it.

There is alot of truth there, but what to do about it ? I have ideas but they probaby won't go anywhere. Teach Women to fight, be aggressive ? To be ruthless and persue taking over ? Probably wouldn't be so bad, Men have fucked up the world quite effectively. Because they can I guess.

So I take back what I wrote. I was commenting on a comment. My mistake.

It's not about exerting power or aggression or about women being ruthless or taking over. And it isn't about wanting to be a welder, or fighting to be a soldier or a choice of profession. Do you know, that in the time that it's taken you to read this and respond, a women has died in childbirth? Not because of a complication or disease but because they aren't deemed as worth saving.

I would love that there wasn't International Women's Day, or Cancer Awareness Days or whatever cause it might be. Unfortunately there is and you(generic) have to ask yourself why there has to be.

Kinda odd to me that we have this HUGE population of men that are bonkers over women, obsess over women, drool over women, blah blah blah but when it comes to really loving them and encouraging them they turn into Hagar the horrible... "Shut up bitch and fix me a turkey pot pie!"

But I have been working on the super ultra secret "Project Lazy Fuker" where the more skills she possesses the less shit I actually have to do. Now, I do like welding and other hands on projects but it is always so much more intriguing when you see said work done with a set of titties attached to the worker. I will deliberately fuck up a carburetor just so she can break out the mini-skirt and tune that Holly up. Could be just me though.

SLURP~

well that's because their bonkers-ness is motivated by them and their own desires, not out of anything really for the sake of the woman as a separate being herself; i guess kinda like a do-me sub who says "oh wow i love to worship women!!!!!!!! -- as long as they're doing exactly what i want, exactly how i want it, exactly when, where, and why i want it."

nope, not just you, but there are loads of skills like that that women would love to learn, but the sources of instruction seem almost dead-set against you ever learning. we started learning to weld in my sculpture class, but most of the attention/time went to male students, and the chicks just found other things to do.

Now that is pretty shitty, where does this go on ? Tribes in jungles or up in the mountains somewhere ? I can't see how this would happen in the "civilised" world. But then.........

Again, I'm sorry to have come off as a crass ass.

agirl -> RE: International Women's Day 2011 (3/9/2011 6:09:41 PM)

A lot of the time we don't get *well-involved* because it hasn't affected us or we haven't been educated.

Recently here in the UK, there's been a stream of *information-ads* on stroke........... I SO, SO wish I'd been educated , even THAT basically, on what to do etc.......... I still cry when they pop up because I did everything *wrong* when my daughter had them.

I recently watched a series about *old people*........and I'm 53 yrs.....It made me realise that my kids are far better prepared for me being very old and poorly than I am of my parents.

There again, my kids have been interested and watched programmes about people with all sorts of disabilities and know first-hand about abortion, psychosis, paranoia, babies and all they entail and all sorts of problems for both genders.

Awareness-drives for any dark and problematic situation are always enlightening.

It was Pancake-Day too......or should I say Shrove -Tuesday, ..anyhow, a goodly amount of Pancakey-Goodness was beheld in our herb garden.....womanly or not. And the discussion of Women's Day briefly arose as I let them have control of my kitchen.

Worldwide. That includes the USA where two women die per day from childbirth from a non complication/disease.
