I knew Drs who could not pass those tests.

My guess is they hadn't been married to nursing instructors for 20 years [:D]

Passing a test doesn't make you a nurse. Just cuz you can answer the questions doesn't mean you can apply the information.

your wife... who has been an instructor for 20 years, is also a NP.

you do love your shovels.

I actually feel very sorry for her.

you are merely proving what a joke you are... over and over again.

I wouldn't last 20 minutes.

tazzy, can you please show me where I said she has been a nursing instructor for 20 years?

Not that it matters. She's been teaching for something like 15 or 16, and qualified as an NP during that time as the minimum "upgrade" required for her to keep teaching. She never practiced as an NP. They keep talking about requiring everyone to get a PhD.... We hope to be retired before they do more than talk.

My wife teaches nursing.... don't even try to tell me how difficult the education required is, etc. Don't even try.
I don't know if you respect your wife's profession or not, and that is your business.
I'm here to say, you have no idea, how much more education is required (after graduation) in order to be a good nurse, actually prevent deaths, aside from writing stupid care plans.   Same goes for doctors by the way.   If you want to really know nursing, ask for permission to visit Washington Hospital for a week.   Visit the regular medical surgical floors, than spend a half of a week in intensive care units watching.  If after that you still feel that nurses don't earn every dime, I'll respect your position, and agree to disagree.

I don't disagree with you, that a nursing strike is extremely dangerous, but nurses should not be the only people relied on to take the burden of increased costs, and decreased resources.   Any hospital with a CEO making millions, ought to be made to answer for wanting to shortchange nurses or doctors, since no hospital would exist without them.    M

I think, the education required is difficult.

I don't think, I know it isn't. I pass most of he tests without any preparation.

Union "staffing issues" invariably amount to a desire for featherbedding.
"Patient safety" is probably more featherbedding.

lmao. fucking kidding me. if you are so fucking smart then why aren't you fucking pulling down all the large green and living large....fuck...lol ...the ego's here are great
