Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips is raking Boehner over the coals and threatening to mount a primary challenge against him. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/03/02/tea-party-leader-boehner-looks-like-a-fool-should-be-defeated-in-a-primary/#more-148837 I was wondering how the GOP would deal with the Tea Party when the elections were over. The GOP wants to co-opt the Tea Party's energy while still working within the system. That may not be possible.

I have said this since the whole teabagger thing started, it is going to be a lot more of a problem for Republicans than Democrats.

The tea people are blind to the fact that its Wall Street, and not democrats or republicans, who are running this country into the ground. Most of the deregulation causing today's problems was instigated by rural voters mostly, those very people living in "flyover territory". Pretty soon, after the tea party castigates poor people, democrats and then republicans, and the ruinous tide still does not shift because nothing has changed on Wall Street, who will be next for them to target? Educated people? Everybody BUT the real problem.

It looks like the Teapartiers are on their way to becomming a third party. I think it's a good thing that some Republicans don't like them.

They (conservatives & moderates) voted for George W. Bush....TWICE. During those eight years, the US debt rose from a 'pokey' $2 Trillion and change, to over $11 Trillion in 2008. You want to blame people for our problems as a nation? Go blame the ones who voted that idiot in to office during....EITHER....election.

ANY "Immigration Reform" reform measure I've heard talked about would result in the turnover of at least half of those who voted for it, with losses being greater for Rs than Dims. The whole idea is political suicide until we CLOSE THE FUCKING BORDERS and enough Rs damned well have sufficient "wisdom and intelligence" that it just ain't gonna happen.
