The principal had already looked into it and sent the kid back to class. Kid goes home later that day and gets arrested at home.

While I would certainly be worried about the kid, I think throwing him in handcuffs and hauling him off to jail went way over the top. I wonder what they would have done to Alice Cooper if he had written about school being blown to pieces today?

For God's sake.  Kids always have to do what grownups say, and they act out.  I used to make a gun with my fingers and mutter "Bang, bang, Daddy" when he did something I didn't like.
