Why post a message at all to anyone here, it is a load of bs when you do

When someone sends you a message introducing themselves, how long is the message before you start to get board?

Greetings,

One to two sentences is more than enough for me. Anything greater and you'd better have something to say that isn't reiterated in your profile. I do make exceptions when the note addresses something I've written and the individual shares his perspective. Otherwise short and sweet works best. I also advise against copy and past activities and regurgitating the things you've mentioned about yourself elsewhere. If inclined the recipient will read and respond accordingly.

Namaste,

~porcelaine

YW.
As for your original question, I agree with the others that say there really isn't given size to an introductory message. ust be yourself. I also agree that you should always include a little something to let the person know that you have read their profile completely, and not just the kink stuff.

If you want to treat it as an assignment, you'll need a few traits to be evident in the message:

Wit (as a display of mental prowess and sense of humor)
Humility (both for its virtuous appeal and to open the door for counter-compliments)
Mystery (to brew up the feeling of mystique)
Profile referencing (a well-timed sentence or two that shows you've thoroughly read their profile)
Structure (good, flowing, enticing paragraphs)
1/2 Aloof:1/2 Ninja (hide any hint of desperation behind a cool demeanor, no matter how excited you are about them)

I'd go into greater detail, but I'd have to charge you for the premium curriculum.

Or you can just write in a way that's actually representative of you and hope someone likes it.

Do I get the premium curriculum with or without a hidden agenda?

Not even close. The term was originally used for the little pagan god avatars that were big in the African tribal religions before we gave them Christianity and stole their land. I think the notion of a small object with godlike status is how the term came to be applied to the other stuff, as that's just the sort of metaphor psychologists are completely queer for...
