It's easy for someone without chronic pain to dismiss it casually, but when one lives with it, year and year out, things are a lot less clear. I have such severe neuropathy in my legs that I had to give up traveling to give lectures. I was able to get a Vermont card to possess marijuana; unfortunately, THC doesn't work for me so I have to continue using Percoset, but for those for which it works, THC is a wonder drug.

Nope, the $5K is the upfront cost. They're also required to pay for nutrients, electricity, and other ongoing costs. I don't see why they should pay for him to grow. Can't they just pay for him to buy from someone else?

All right- so a dude with a bad back is going to be a farmer now? His spine is wrecked- he cant even bend over to water the plants.

In a hydroponic system, the water is pumped to the plants. But it still involves a lot of physical labor. I suspect he has a roommate or partner to do the physical labor.
