would be nice if Collarme had a profile designation for Pro Dommes to select so I could simply filter them out of my search results. I never thought it would be so hard to find a lifestyle Domme for a LTR in Vegas....
Would be a hell of a lot easier if I could simplify the search

Yeah, you're only the 124,097,235,682,574,297th person to have that brilliant idea.

It's been suggested. One of the biggest problems to it actually being effective is if people would self-designate or not. If not, having anyone else make that call is against TOS for this site. Plus actually having spare man hours on a free site to police orientation designations is in the realm of fantasy. All in all it's been suggested and there isn't a fair/workable way to do it.

An Easter Egg hunt would lose all its allure if the eggs were laid out in the open.

There are two munches that I know of in LV.  If you can't find an unpartnered Domme in one of those groups maybe you should try some regional meets.  You just missed the SW Leather conference in Phoenix.  If you research I'm sure you'll find something happening in LA or San Diego.  Meeting in person rather than online is a great way for you to wow a potential Domme with your fabulous personality.

It's in the realm of possibility. Stranger things have happened... don't want to point any fingers... but how does the new poet get internet in his padded cell? Wifi, lan line... maybe they are making an exception since the world is gonna end soon.

I fail to see the problem here.
People whon don't self designate, but are reported as pro-dommes, would be dealt with accordingly.
As far as I'm aware, domme profiles are the most viewed of all, due to the high volume of male submissives. It seems pretty ludicrous to think that any of them could get away with flouting the rules given the massive exposure they have.

I'd expect most of them would want to self designate, to cut down on the massive volume of freebie hunters and timewasters. What good does a professional get from advertising to people who aren't looking to pay? A lot of pointless calls and nothing else.

SEIG!!!!!

GreedyTop -> RE: Pro Domme designation (2/14/2011 1:02:55 AM)

so... someone who is here either in or looking for a lifestyle relationship and doesnt self identify as a pro, even if he/she may be pro elsewhere.. should be shunned?

I'm not clear.. it seems like a slippery slope to me.

would I like to see all the scammers binned?  HELL YEAH!! is it realistic? fuck no.

*Disclaimer: .. I refuse to promise that anything I may say over the next few hours will make sense, even to myself, upon review)*

I'm sleepy.. if it doesnt make sense, ask me later, with references to what I said,so hopefully, I can clarify. No promises.

Would be nicer if we could go one week without another thread whining about pro dommes. I guess we both will just have to suck it up and deal.

That right there is the problem.

Let's say you're a generic member of this site. Let's say you send me a message. Let's say I ignore it, because as the generic member of this site you have not read my profile.

Let's say this makes you angry. So what do you do? You report me as an un-self-designated pro-domme, and I am 'dealt with accordingly'.

Does that have anything to do with whether I'm actually a pro-domme?

No.

LadyPact -> RE: Pro Domme designation (2/14/2011 5:11:07 AM)

OP, so what you're saying here is that you are too lazy to do the searching yourself and want the site to do it for you.

Let Me know how that goes.

Anybody want a lazy submissive?

Nah.  Didn't think so.

strangedesire -> RE: Pro Domme designation (2/14/2011 5:19:29 AM)

Here's a quick-and-dirty way to screen most pros and scammers out of your search results:

1) Set your search parameters as you see fit and search as normal.

2) Skim the profiles as they come up. Every time you see a woman ask for tribute, mention that she is a Pro Domme, or specify that she only wants "generous" men, click the "hide" button for her profile.

3) Every time you see a woman under 25 wearing expensive fetishwear in a professional-quality photo, click the "hide" button.

4) Every time you see a profile with a photo of an extremely beautiful woman, combined with a profile that only mentions sex/play and shows no personality, click the "hide" button.

BONUS: Consider putting a bit of work into your profile, focusing on things a non-pro might want to know about you as a person. Real non-pros gravitate towards that sort of thing.

soul2share -> RE: Pro Domme designation (2/14/2011 5:46:29 AM)

Dayum....must be THAT time of the month!  TWO threads at the same time even!

There IS a search function for the fora.....using it before you start repeating threads sure would be nice!

You would think that if there have been 124,097,235,682,574,297 people that have already had that brilliant idea then somewhere, some time, some one would actually get bashed upside the head by the proverbial clue-by-four and start to think that maybe...just maybe...it is a problem that needs to be seriously looked into rather than something to be used as a means to ridicule the problems of male subs.  It is very interesting that each time such a thread is started an overwhelming number of responses (usually somewhat derogatory in nature) to the OP come, not from other male subs, but from female dominants, female subs, and male doms...all people that do not normally have to deal with the problem on a day-to-day basis.  But they are all more than ready, willing, and able to come here and trash talk the people that do deal with it.

soul2share -> RE: Pro Domme designation (2/14/2011 5:50:37 AM)

If it's too much "work" for someone to actually read the profiles to see if the Domme is a pro or not, then maybe they aren't cut out for the lifestyle.  Being a sub, either male or female, is a lot of work and effort.  As a female sub, I see things in men's profiles that I wish I could filter out, but hey....ya gotta weed the garden for the flowers to grow.

This argument doesn't hold water.  If a person clicks the "Report User" button there are already options where the person can be reported for inappropriate information, illegal activities, scamming, underage, and vulgarity.  Those options are already in place for anyone wanting to mis-use them.  Adding one more option for not self-designating as a pro-domme would not be any more likely to be mis-used than any of the other options already available.  If someone was going to make a false accusation simply for spite the means are already in place and it simply is not happening.

If that option were available what would that leave... maybe 3 in all of North America?
