Firebirdseeking -> O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 4:57:27 PM)

I dont know if this has been asked, I did a brief search and found nothing.  My question for those who saw the O'Reilly-Obama interview:  do you think O'Reilly would have been so dismissive and disrespectful if Obama were not African American?  He interrupted the president so many times I lost count, and it appeared that he didn't even care what Obam's answers were.

FullCircle -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 5:08:57 PM)

I think the attitude was more down to party affiliation rather than ethnic background. I think I have stumbled upon this interview topic elsewhere as it happens. I think it was at the end of the Egypt one.

I... was bitterly disappointed, I expected Sting to play them out.

Lucylastic -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 7:09:49 PM)

Oreilly is a skin tag on the  septic haemorrhoid (fox)of media
so I cant be objective
sorry

servantforuse -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 7:18:50 PM)

I saw the interview and thought he was very respectful to the President. Obama agreed to do the interview because O'Reilly was fair in a lengthly interview before the election. If you ask me, the interview was pretty boring.

Sanity -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 7:53:27 PM)

Youre just not used to seeing anyone with balls enough to ask Obama a few direct questions. He calls his show "The No Spin Zone" so dont cry too hard about the hosts manners if Obamas handlers are so stupid and incompetent that they didnt have the first freaking clue what those words meant.

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 8:09:01 PM)

He had to interrupt. If you ask Obama a question and then jump out from in front of him, he'll chase that question all the way to the horizon like a greyhound after a rabbit. They only had 12 minutes. I hate O'Reilly, but he was only doing what a good interviewer had to do in that situation.

Really? So Jon Stewart wasn't being tough on the president?  I'll give him one thing,  Obama WILL face his critics head-on, when the mood strikes him. As for the "handlers so stupid and incompetent" remark.. You forget that O'Reilly has interviewed Obama before, and Obama knew what he was in for in the first place.

As for the OP, look at O'Reilly's other interviews with other people. He's just as unprofessional with everyone else.

Arpig -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 9:35:27 PM)

I watched it and didn"t see anything disrespectful at all...as anybody who"s been around at all will know, I am anything but a fan of Bill O, but in all honesty I found his interview rather bland and pretty much what would be expected

Arpig -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 9:37:07 PM)

did you watch the same one I did?

cloudboy -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/13/2011 9:41:43 PM)

SNL lampooned O'Reilly as a non stop talker who asks questions already knowing the answers.

EternalHoH -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/14/2011 6:09:15 AM)

O'Reilly is considered the 'sane one', compared to all the others in the Fox lineup.

Who said they are insane? That would assume they believe what they are peddling. The majority of content on Fox News is aimed at the lowest common denomiator of citizens. Those just happen to be conservatives at the moment. Conservatives seem to make up the truely ignorant of Americans. Someone possessing the critical thinking skills nessisary to be a good citizen, have already deduced that Fox News has both a political agenda and lies pretty often.

Conservatives have been 'brainwashed' (for lack of a better phrasing) over the years. That the 'elitist media' is only concern with the 'liberal agenda' and not of reporting the facts of the issue. As such, conservatives gravitate towards Fox News and other 'hardcore' conservative news outlets (that seem to be following in Fox New's footsteps). We see on these forums everyday, the affects it has on conservatives: poor current events knowledge, bad understanding of what is 'fact' and what is 'conspiracy', and 'poor maturity skills'.

They behave more like 6th graders, they adults. In every manner, they behave this way. They dont understand President Obama, because he talks to someone with a 12th grade education. Educated people do tend to talk/reason in a manner most conservatives just dont understand. For conservatives, behaving like a bunch of immature kids on the playground is the norm, not the exception.

Are conservatives insane? I'm sure a decent 10-30% suffer from some form of mental illness (and they got guns too). Its not that they are insane in the defination sense, but in the metaphorical manner. Their insanity (metaphorically) is simply believing stuff from people who have conditioned their mindsets so totally, as to take what Fox News publishs as 'the truth'. Even when presented with facts and evidences by the mountain loads, they remain unconvinced, because if Fox News doesn't report it as fact, it can't be true.

I swear, coming back here is like visiting a mental ward full of the delusional, backed by the stupid and barely coherent. The more I read, the more apparent it becomes that some who post here are either suffering the aforementioned insanity or lack any sort of reasoning ability that extends past sitting on a shitter, looking at the toilet paper and realizing why it's there.

You want to know what most conservatives want? Just leave them the fuck alone. Stay out of their business. It is, that simple.

To the OP: I'll go with the bland comment someone above made. At the same time, I bow to your intent of continuing to search for hatred for color in every fucking piece of information that slides across in front of you. Reading this sort of tripe almost makes me want to pat you on the head and offer condolences. I know, you've shot that bullet so many times with such effectiveness that it just boondoggles you that it hasn't slain millions of conservative types this time, doesn't it?

Here's some tea party answers for you.

This.

As for the OP.....the interview didn't impress me and NO, I don't see racism hiding behind every slight or rude action. I am not denying it exists but I am also not so parinoid to go on witch hunts looking for it either.

Lucylastic -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/15/2011 4:07:17 AM)

Stranger Than, yet here you are doing exactly the same as the rest of us, you arent just visiting, you were just out on a day pass[8|]
Your hypocrisy and posting supplies the proof  you are no better than anyone else[:-]

StrangerThan -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/15/2011 4:22:03 AM)

I never claimed to be Lucy.

Perhaps, that is the difference.

This whole thread reeks of both a search for elitist ground and the frustration when it's not found.

I've found less bullshit walking through a cow pasture.

Lucylastic -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/15/2011 4:32:33 AM)

So that explains the only business the Republican majority in the house has done to date was to try and take a womans right to choose away from her? Oh, yeah........leave ME alone but not the people I don't like.....lol.....yeah conservatives

thishereboi -> RE: O'Reilly-Obama interview (2/15/2011 5:33:18 AM)

I don't think racism had anything to do with it. But I am not a bit surprised to see people trying to claim it did. I am also not surprised to see the little bigot jo stick his two cents in about how awful conservatives are. Just business as usual at cm.
