ORIGINAL: shallowdeep It's definitely not purely an OS issue. I just tested with Chrome 9, Safari 5, IE 8, and Firefox 3 in a copy of Windows XP and was not able to replicate the behavior. Are those affected using an old version of IE, like IE 6, by any chance? If so, I'd personally try upgrading IE or running another browser. It looks like the site might be applying an odd entity encoding to apostrophes in text input. Since & apos; isn't a valid HTML entity, it can cause problems with some browsers - others treat it as a valid XML entity. But all the major modern browsers seem to be avoiding the problem, even in XP – so there shouldn't be a need to deprive yourself of desired punctuation. Nope, I have IE 8 and have the same issue with apostrophes on XP.
