Is it just me being paranoid ...or do people with the disclaimer "This user is browsing the site from their iPhone ™ on profile seem more likely to be married??

I mean I can understand not all of us have home computers but, dunno, am I paranoid?

If so, please feel free to toss me sum meds. thank thanky.

I've seen quite a few of those disclaimers attached to profiles of single people,
some of which are regular posters on this site. I think its more of a technological
convenience as opposed to anything more sinister.

As i don't like coming to this site from my work, i tend to use my iphone to check out the message boards and such when i have downtime sometimes or am in the middle of an interesting discussion, of if i am expecting a message from someone.  Or it could be someone has kids who are more savey on the computer than they are and they want to be sure the kids dont come across the site.  Or someone is out and about and are waiting like at a Dr appt or something and decide to browse.  There are all different reasons people may be browsing on their iphone instead of at home, its not always an ominous cheating concept.  Think of it like this, any time you use your iphone for entertainment is a reason someone may use their iphone to come to the site.

And my profile will say I am browsing from an iphone if I log in with my windows mobile phone to check cmail. I think it does that when you have logged in from any mobile device.

Trust me, you don't want to check your cmail from work on the work computer. <grin> But the CM website now allows you to brows from a smartphone.

I used my Blackberry to view the site when at work or when traveling for work. The firewall software on the work laptops will not allow me to use my work computer to logon to Collarme. And seeing how some of my work trips are 3 weeks long, I will will my Blackberry to access the site. So I think its more a technology thing versus people are cheating.

what she said.

I use mine sometimes and used it on a daily basis at my previous employer as there I was at work during nights and spend a lot of time in public transports...so when I wasn't knacked and napping on the train and bus I browsed it via my phone. At present I do it less often as my current phone is a pain in that respect,so its no fun at all using it for more internet than I absolutely have to, most of the time, but with my previous one NokiaN95 which I sadly lost (fell out of my pocket on a bus and I had not realised it) I enjoyed it and it worked well. So I would not combine using phone with being married.

no it never even occurred to me.

I log into CM all the time on my lunch break when I'm bored. I just always assumed a lot of people use their phones for pretty much everything these days. My daughter uses her's more than her computer, so do my friends. We all use our phones on facebook also to keep in contact.

Never even crossed my mind that someone would be married because they use their phone on here or anywhere else.

Same here.  I use my iPhone for everything.  Welcome to technology. lol.

So yeah, I use my iPhone to post here, to Fet, to Facebook, to email, to surf Google, to read articles, to get directions, to shop, etc.  I'm not limited to my computer at home.
