Habitiat For Humanity Now Forclosing on Homes

David Tennant better Doctor Who than Tom Baker.

Hmmm.I did a little Googling, and Habitat is evidently working as hard as it can NOT to foreclose.

In this case: http://www.newsfirst5.com/news/habitat-for-humanity-ready-to-foreclose-on-homeowner/, the problem was that the homeowner couldn't realize that she was not in a rental and couldn't simply demand that problems get fixed, but had to do it herself.  She hasn't paid the mortgage in two years.

In this case: http://www.tchabitat.org/page.aspx?pid=364, Habitat went through at least two workout agreements over three years.

They're clearly showing a lot of restraint,  Hey - when they give you volunteers to help build your house and a thirty year interest free mortgage - you pretty much owe them the mortgage payments.

Why would I volunteer to build a house for a bank?

I actually like the new Doctor.

Matt Smith?
Yeah, I really like him. I think that article was from before he took over, though.

Some are starting to default on their no interest mortgages even with this non profit organization.
In Florida. One of the states hit by this economic downturn the hardest is now starting foreclosing proceedings against homeowners who are clients of Habitat for Humanity. It is hard to squeeze blood out of a stone. Most of the clients for this non profit orga

I don't see any banks anywhere.

Habitat stood the money up front, and is getting paid back over thirty years.  They're holding the mortgage.

FR

" This why we need to get rid of the Federal Reserve Bank. When there is no honest money anymore because the issuance of currency is out of the peoples hands and put in the care of private central bankers. That is when people get hurt and suffer to enrich the very few at the expense of many."

This is where they lost me. Upturn the whole fucking monetary system because some people can't pay their rent ?

Actually I am all for ripping the heart oput of this fiat based scrip form of trading, where they kill the currency to the point it isn't worth saving, and then whine because we "Americans" aren't thrifty and let them hold the money in their banks - for our benefit of course. But I know why it won't happen and why people just won't go for it. But the reasons for my advocacy of cutting Goliath's feet off does not include the fact that somebody didn't get a house given to them on a silver platter. I paid my motgage. If I didn't I would have to pay rent. Were these houses overpriced or something ? Is someone going to pop up and shatter my illusion of these charitable people who simply won't give property away to people just because they are poor ?

Say it ain't so.........

No matter where you live you pay, unless it's under a bridge or a homeless shelter. If you don't pay the house payment you WILL have to pay rent somewhere. A familt of four needs eight cellphones, six cable boxes with HBO and a new car every two years, for each of the kids. How in the hell could they come up with rent money ?

Really, they put this shit on TV, and I'm not even stupid but I never thought they actually charged money for those houses. Well maybe I am stupid.

That's because their statement is meaningless babble.

Habitat for Humanity Stores are a great place to go shopping   :)

Not exactly meaningLESS. Just when people get this "break the money power" attitude it pervades everything. I used to hang with the common law court type people. Everything was fine until they started this "you don't have to pay" bullshit. You don't have to pay the mortgage, your child support, shit like that. They lost me a long time ago.

Not that they were wrong about everything, but even if they were right about everything, the law was not meant to let people live for free - anywhere. Math seems to elude them as well. There should be a word for people who do their own "brand" of math. You just can't explain amortization to them, they think that a 15 year note on a hundred grand should be down to fifty grand in seven and a half years. It just doesn't work that way, but in their thick heads the amortization table is a form of usury, no matter how low the interest.

And since the money isn't real they don't have to pay. If the money isn't real why do they cling to it so ? Why do they want it if it is useless ?

Those questions will get you thrown out of the church basement they think is the only true courtroom. I really tried to embrace their ways, but they just don't make any fucking sense in alot of things. On the way home from the YHWH empowered King's den I traded some of that useless money for some useful beer. They would probably shoot me if they knew I had supported the ZOG like that.

The money the bank paid the previous owner of my house came out of thin air, so every month I sent money - to thin air. Wasn't such a bad deal after all.

LOL

It IS meaningless. It claims a causal relationship that's pure bullshit.

At least Terms posts would be worth the bother of copyright.

Musicmystery -> RE: Habitiat For Humanity Now Forclosing on Homes (1/31/2011 8:04:13 AM)

Why? There's nothing new there, just a reaction.

Kirata -> RE: Habitiat For Humanity Now Forclosing on Homes (1/31/2011 9:19:41 AM)

This economic times does not discriminate against no one. I watched on the news periodically about the smiles of people having there homes built by Habitat for Humanity with low interest loans to people who can afford homes. Now people who occupy these homes. Some are starting to default on their no interest mortgages even with this non profit organization.

Nice embedded commentary there on education in Texas.

I agree. I'll get around to writing one of my masterpieces later. But what I said stands. These people blame the fed for everything. I mean those dirty NWO folks made my car battery die. Oops I left the lights on all night. I was too preoccupied worrying about money and "inflation" so they made me forget to turn them off. Still their fault.

I really must admit though that I never thought of just how they distribute those houses. While I really didn't think they just gave them away, they almost gave that impressiion. Good ole Jimmy Carter donating his time build houses for people who can't afford houses. All these philanthropists donating wood, cement, pipe and romex. Then these good fellas just put it up and starving refugees can move right in. Sure. Just make sure the chimney is big enough for Santa Claus.

Lots of houses don't have chimneys, they have double walled pipe for draft. Know why ? It's the fucking NWO ! These bastards want to tax everything, and they can't stand anyone just giving shit away. And the effect on the Chinese economy is just inhumane. They are the embodiment of the Devil himself and one day Yahweh is going to swoop down and destroy them all.

Another reason I can't hang with those "freedom fighters" is that I never watched "The Matrix" so I have no idea how the world really works.

Kidding aside; would those folks who bought HFH homes be immune to foreclosure ? There are millions of foreclosures, and that's on people who were once creditworthy. If HFH homes were sold to those who weren't creditworthy they did what the banks did. Anything to make a sale. If the buyers were creditworthy why did they bother ? Were houses in such short supply ?

Who knows. Back to my regularly scheduled rapture, or cleaning the kitchen.

pahunkboy -> RE: Habitiat For Humanity Now Forclosing on Homes (1/31/2011 10:57:30 AM)

So why would anyone want to volunteer to build a house for a family that can not afford it then?

Moonhead -> RE: Habitiat For Humanity Now Forclosing on Homes (1/31/2011 11:04:59 AM)

They could afford it then, they just can't afford it now.
An economy based on a credit bubble can have that effect, you'll find.
