I'm undoubtedly showing my ignorance here, but can someone tell me how those 57 babies coordinated getting hungry at the same time? Or will a baby just get on with its vacuuming once 'plugged in', hungry or not?

Babies in general will suck on anything you put into their mouth at any time......and yeah, they'll nurse because it tastes good to them and feels nice and comforting.

Plus, nursing babies get hungry a lot more quickly than formula-fed babies, my former babies were every 2 hours like clockwork. So it would be pretty easy to get 57 babies to sync-up on command :)

I've come to the conclusion that I'd 'corrupted' the original tune in my head over the decades - changing it a bit, year by year, so that it ended up having almost entirely different notes. The original, which some guessed at, was just so close, though, in terms of rhythm and metre. Nonetheless, a bit of me continues to believe that 'that tune' is 'out there', somewhere . . . . ;-)
