Don't worry: he'll be paid in gold. (Obama is really from South Africa and has a big stash of krugerrand...)

This could be fun. Just got Boz, Scaggs that is. Noticed a couple of more movies completed as well.

Come on, put ten thousand more people in jail. People's Aunts, nephews, kids and Parents. Go right ahead. DO IT. How about 20,000 ? Or maybe the 10,260 who are on P2P right now, just on one "provider".

It would be nice to live long enough to see the whole capaitalistic process repair itself, but I just don't think I have the time.

T^T

Stealing from artists is something to be so very proud of.

What a douche.

Silly Jefff.   RIAA has never ripped off artists.

Two different things. If an artist is willfully stupid they get what they deserve.

Down loading the creation of another person without paying for it is theft.

It is not rebellion. It isn't sticking it to the man. People doing it aren't revolutionaries.

They are thieves who want something they can't afford so they just take it.

PA, I love you like a gay cousin but lately your responses make no sense.

Elvis signed a shitty deal with Col. Tom Parker.

Boz Scaggs signed no such deal with Term.

Jefff, as we post here- your DNA is being patented.  This means that when you need the formula to fix your body-  you will have to pay royalties to the corporation who owns the intellectual property- even tho that property is YOUR DNA.

This whole argument has everything to do with corporate personhood.

Term is not stealing from just a corporation. He is stealing from Boz Scaggs.

Nope, he implied he downloaded it without paying. He owns nothing.

So if you sell somebody your car, they're entitled to take the new one you buy to replace it, then?

No, I think Jefff just has a problem with termy portraying screwing Boz Scaggs out of whatever pittance he'd have got for the stuff he's downloaded as a revolutionary act that will bring down the Man, because the Kenyan's appointed somebody from the RIAA to a government position. From a teenager who only has a vague notion about how stuff works, that might be cute. From a self styled libertarian badass who's been around the block a few times, it's more pathetic.

FR

My comment was more a stab at the fact that all regimes support industry. The fact that everything that was in public domain is not doesn't matter. The point is the obvious bias toward the big boys. I could send you a song, a very good one by a buddy of mine and his band. It's called Streetwalker and it's by a band called Mandrake. I won't becaue it's not copyrighted. Seem ironic enough ?

Let's say it was copyrighted, will the weight of the government bear down to protect his intellectual property rights like they do for millionaires who are in a multimillion dollar "association" ? That was the point, and as long as they play dirty, I play dirty.

The Boz Scaggs was just a jab. I probably have those songs taped off the radio, and with my equipment I could make it sound pretty damn good. So my crime was commited retroactively about twenty years ago. I already had it.

Let me pose a question when it comes to fairness in law. Why are so many judges ex-prosecutors ? Does that sound fair to you ? Why are big pharma executives running the FDA ? Does that sound fair to you ? Why are people associated with large food distributors anywhere hear the USDA ? Does that sound fair to you ? Was Micheal Powell really the most qualified for the FCC or was he just someone who would do what the fuck he was told ?

The list could go on but I simply don't have all day.
