Leatherbonds -> Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/24/2011 10:11:56 PM)

It has been about 7 years since I have actively used collarme.com and have been browsing through the site the last few days to remember how to navigate the profiles. Unfortunately, I was flagged as sending out too many bulk mails because the only way I could access a person's entire profile was by sending a " friend request", which displays the profile. I didn't realize that the full profile is displayed off the bottom of the scroll down page BELOW the message and notes block. It is not intuitive to this site unless one is a regular user. Well, several people put a spam block on my profile and made unduly harsh comments.

Let me say that if you are that intolerant, in my opinion, you do not belong in this lifestyle! By definition, any alt lifestyle requires members exhibit patience and tolerance towards each other whether or not they are interested in meeting. Although some of the younger female members may feel overwhelmed by messages, your emotional immaturity is on display by the way you respond to any sort of message in your mail box, even though it was not truly a request to get to know you.

For me, I am attracted only to those whose actions don't betray their words and who can respond in an adult manner.

This may come as a surprise to you, but people in this "lifestyle" are no more patient or tolerant than the average Joe on the street.

If you want to view someone's full profile, you should try clicking on the button that says "View Full Profile".  It works wonders.

Well, I do have to say that you introduced yourself.

GreedyTop -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/24/2011 11:04:50 PM)

what is this 'lifestyle' you speak of, OP?

seriously, where is it written that just because I like to get my kink on, I have to like, be patient with, or tolerate everyone?  Assholes are assholes, and I see no reason whatsoever that I should be patient with - or tolerate - them just because we share a fondness for kink.

LadyPact -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/24/2011 11:47:38 PM)

No, I really don't have to "tolerate" random friend requests from people that I've never heard of or the ridiculous stuff that qualifies under the site's spam policy in My inbox from email.  Point blank, that's why the block, hide, and spam reporting options exist.  Just because you're kinky doesn't give you the right to bother as many people as possible before there were enough reports to get you a warning.

That's My position on the matter.  Aren't you glad that you have to tolerate it?

From the desk of Lady Pact,

Who absolutely does report folks for spam.

RCdc -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 12:06:26 AM)

Well, we find the site pretty intuitive and from the beginning of joining here, have never had issues working out how to work the site and found it easy.
Besides, to get flagged, surely you would have had to send out numerous mails to people? They wouldn't have just pulled you up for one or two persons lack of patience as you call it.

Maybe the patience is something you should have shown? Being patient enough to learn how to navigate the site, before spamming people with friend requests?

SpiritedRadiance -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 12:31:01 AM)

So your messaging and spaming many women who are half or more then half your age, and your pissed off they reported you in bounds?

I think it takes like over 10 or 15 reports of spam before they do anything about it.... I know the one person who loves to spam me... ive reported at least 10 times... and he still doesnt have the red message.....

Heres a hint ... read someones profile send them a message referencing their profile... if they dont respond move on...

Morons exist everywhere. A place that entertains the thought of inflicting pain on others for mutual pleasure should theoretically double the amount of potential morons.

I'm a moron.

Probably one of the best lines I've ever read here!

kalikshama -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 4:25:33 AM)

I think it is the height of rudeness to send a friend request before engaging in dialog and always reject such.

Furthermore, your blaming the recipients is quite unattractive.

And if you are seeking maturity, might I suggest you target a more mature demographic than one that starts at age 18? Just saying!

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 4:30:09 AM)

I always reject friend requests without a message, too. I have no reason whatsoever to accept anything like that. You want people to be patient and tolerant with your "style," OP, but you aren't willing to do the same in return? =p Be tolerant of the fact that a lot of women DO NOT LIKE random friend requests from people they've never met or talked to. the site is actually easy to navigate -- i've never sent out a friend request just to read a full profile; that literally makes no sense. =p

Darktra151 -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 5:34:03 AM)

I am extremely patient domme but right now my patience is wearing thin for a lot of people. One person in particular.

This.

Between the whiners and the drama llamas, this place would be a echoing tomb lately.

*smooches to LaT*

how are the critters?

LaTigresse -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 8:20:33 AM)

Hello to you!

The critters are doing fabulously.

poise -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 8:35:12 AM)

Firstly, welcome back to the site. I hope this time around is more pleasant for you.
I would like to point out though, that the View Full Profile button is 2 buttons over to
the left of Send Friend Request, and not wayyyyyyyy down below the notes about user...etc.

So while I and many others may be patient in dealing with the quantity we
receive, I would really question your patience in learning how to navigate
a site you voluntarily signed up for.

DesFIP -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 9:26:36 AM)

We are not obligated to go the extra mile because you were too horny and desperate to send out emails to every young woman on the site and couldn't take ten minutes to read the TOS or learn how to navigate the site. Your fault, you got what you deserved.

Lockit -> RE: Patience and tolerance in the lifestyle (1/25/2011 10:27:40 AM)

So... because you made a mistake and didn't know how to work the site, you did things in a way that got you caught up in the spam filters, maybe because people reported you for spamming them when they didn't know you? Your mistake... people respond or the spam filter kicks in... which means you sent a lot of email... and you blame the site or others for working the site the correct way? Find fault with people that are here every day, not just checking in again... and that get far more email than any productive person should have to handle?

Dude...

You blame us for being intolerant... well darlin, you are welcome to come see my mail box and the stupid shit there. You are also welcome to come see how many friendly sorts that don't know how to work the site... think it something like a teen network place where numbers of friends might impress someone and find us intolerant because we stand up for ourselves, wish to act as adults and weed through sometimes hundreds of emails? [:D] Yeah... that works.

How dare you call us intolerant based on your mistakes and take on how we SHOULD act. I won't tell you to kiss my ass because of your rotten attitude... but you can go kiss someone's ass... because your attitude has nothing to do with lifestyle, community or being an adult. Look in your own mirror if you are brave enough.
